Posted the hotfix:
***edit: v0.91 offline, is outdated
Fixes some minor problems. The hotfix has only replacements for the strings and equipment files.
To install, please deactivate the mod under GME first, then replace the older files in your data folder of the mod's GME installation with these new files. Activate with GME again to play afterwards.
Normally I'd recommend people to start a new campaign, but this is not a critical update, so you can as well just continue with a campaign in progress if you don't want to restart.

Ahh..I just realised that I introduced some silly mistakes with that hotfix. It's nothing that affects gameplay tough, just some wrong names etc. which can be fixed easily. So another fix is in order....will arrive asap. I noticed also a couple more minor issues, for example in briefings. None of those should affect gameplay either.

So here's the corrected hotfix 0.92:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/21577677 ... _v0_92.zip
There shouldn't be any serious issues with the earlier fix, but it had some names wrong (mainly for terrain) which might be confusing. It has been taken down now, all recent fixes are in 0.92 now, (hopefully without adding further errors).
It also has a small library update.
All files belong into the USMC GME installation, strings and eqp under ../data, the two library files of course under ../library

Henderson Field, 15/15 DV
That was a blast! Not too hard and I was able to invest, but not capture Point Cruz in the west, but difficult enough. I love a scenario where there are choices and you have no idea where the enemy will come from (most - the briefing told me to watch the south!) and in what strength. The IJN gave my navy a lesson and their air force was devastating in the west where they were out of range of my fighters and AA. In the south, though, I gave the Japs a lesson they won't forget!

Great fun and now I'm looking forward to Mount Austen.
1. No sound for the PT boat.
2. The airfield in the east was taken by a stealth attack by a Japanese unit that I couldn't figure out where it came from. Is that what it looked like - a sneaky behind-the-lines attack?

It wasn't compiled in the sound pack. We missed that one.
Sorry.
Thanks for reporting.
Here's a non-official hotfix for PT boat Audio.

Bebro will incorporate it in the next patch/hotfix

Thx for the feedback

Good catch with the sound indeed. And thx VPaulus for the quick fix...it will be included in a later update for sure
I'm glad to hear you like the scn, this is one of my favourites in the first part of the campaign as well.
The sneak attack is triggered. I was unsure first if I should keep it that way since some might find that unfair, but overall the player should be able to deal with this in time. This kind of infiltration was tried by the Japanese several times, mostly at night, and sometimes with success.

Mt Austen has caused me to eat humble pie.

First time around, I was unable to get any sort of victory, although a DV is achieved if all objectives are taken with 4 turns to spare! Not sure how I'll do that. There are 6 air transport slots available, so perhaps that's the key. Anyway, I'll give it another go tomorrow.
I figured those sneaky attacks were triggered at Henderson but just wanted to be sure.

In general, arty+inf is the key, and I have two M3 tanks there, just be careful with them in the jungle. Yep the paramarines are useful to go to one of the VHs far away.
Well, if anything fails, I can post some spoilers.

Nah, I'd rather figure it out. If I start throwing things at the computer I'll call for the spoilers.

My computer almost went to Airborne School via my computer room window.
Great campaign

Before I forget, the C-47 doesn't seem to have any sound, either.

Can you tell me in which scenario?
There's a US C-47, but if bebro used another C-47, then you'll don't hear the sound.

I used a paramarine in Austen Mountain and it didn't have a sound when moving in the Douglas C-47 transport.

Well, it took 4 tries but I finally got a DV at Austen Mt. Lost one marine unit but not a major loss. Great fun and the fact that I tried 4 times says I enjoyed it, even if I did nearly throw something at the monitor!
I would consider putting another airfield for the Japanese somewhere - even out to sea. When I took Point Cruz airfield their remaining planes just hung in the air because they did n't have an air field.

Good job
Yep, you're right with the airfield, I was aware of that, but thought Point Cruz would fall late. To modify a common saying, I guess no plan survices first contact with reality

So yep, adding more airfield would probably better.
I'd love if the ai was working without any though, since all the Japanese air support was coming from outside Guadalcanal - either Rabaul, New Georgia, or carriers. So all Japanese airfields here are kinda ahistorical, just a tribute to the game mechanics.
P.S. seems there's a huge market for protective barriers for monitors

I'm feeling stupid, but I'm not able to embark a paramarine in Henderson Field.
So I'm not able to replicate the C-47 missing sound. Probably it will be easy to fix, but I would like to be sure that's working.
Can anyone give me a save with a paramarine embarked?

Henderson Field has no air TP, but the following scenario should have it at the start - you could use a endscn cheat if you don't have the time for playthrough.

The game is using the "C-47" and not the "US C-47" icon for transporting.
