Is there a disembark cost for army fleet action?
Lets say I start an army in the port hex with fleet, a new turn starts and had given orders to load into fleet , fleet moves maximum move poinst to an enemy hex... Can my army "disembark" and have its full alotment of movepoints in that same turn?
Like so many things, I hadn't considered this one

I think it is reasonable to allow the disembarked army its base MP (no additional MP from supply) but no other 'actions'. What do people think?

I think it's a bit much to sail somewhere, disembark and move all in one turn...should have to stay in the disembark location.

Oops didnt even see that you had posted...
Hmm this is a tough one... At the early stages in game it will be impossible to raid as fleets etc move too slow and by the time you sail anwhere, and then take a turn too disembark it will be all to easy for your enemy to send an army to mess you up. At the later stages when one has teched up it might to too rapid reaction of amphious strike forces....

How about this:
You treat the movement of the fleet and army as a whole... if the fleet moves 100% of its move, the army gets 0%. If the fleet has moved 50% of its move and disembarks the army, then the army gets 50% if its base move. Reasonable?

That seams like a good solution
Port Clarification!

The way I have put ports on the map is not great... I will be changing it. A port is considered to be in the land hex, but can 'use' any adjacent sea hex. For example, the port at L6 can launch fleets in L5, K6 and K7.
Rules have been updated to clarify raiding and disembarking armies.
I may have had a little over-exuberance when clearing out my inbox... I have winter 1350 orders and votes from deadtorius, Blathergut, TheGrayMouser and Triarius. I have winter 1350 orders but no votes from iversonjm. I have neither from batesmotel, Paisley and petergarnett. I am sorry if you have already sent them, but could you please re-send them?
Thanks!

Just a little reminder... once I have this information we can get the ball rolling.
Cheers.

Nor have I. I've been waiting for a move for almost two weeks. Either he burnt out or real life caught up with him.

I'm still waiting for a few bits and pieces. I'll send some e-mails over the weekend.
Cheers,

Has this been put on pause for a while?

Sorry for going quiet - real life got a bit busy!
I have not heard anything from Paisley despite PMs and e-mails. To get things moving, I think we have three options:
1. Leave Paisley's faction 'neutral' and proceed. If he re-appears, then he can join in. Review the situation every game year.
2. Offer the position to another player.
3. Have an Atlantis moment and have Argyle slip into the ocean.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,

IMO if after 2 weeks your PM's to Paisley are still in your Outbox then I feel that was sufficient notice and sadly he should be replaced. Less than 2 weeks would be unfair in case he went on holiday.

I agree, we need to move on.....
I feel that his spot should be taken by a new player though.... The dynamics of the Isles indicate it could be a significant advantage for the player (me) with an isle all to his lonesome (or could be a huge disadvantge

)
