Hehe, we can do like with movie trailers and try to guess the plot with the few pictures and knowledge from previous scenarios we have
spoilers about NATO and Russia campaigns
I don't think we will have Russian support to Transnistria (other than the units already there, of course).
Since the scenario happen in Akkula's story, we know that Ukraine is well locked and in stronger position than it is IRL at the start of the war. In Nato 1-3 missions, the player capture both DPR and LPR ; and in NATO 6 (when WWIII start), the Russian offensive in Ukraine is stopped at the border. It means that air support from Russia to Transnistria would be very hard, since it suppose to fly above more than 500km ennemy territory with NATO air forces and air defenses already in place and ROE that allows to shoot down on sight.
Following NATO missions also shows that the Black Sea theater is also in favour of NATO, that capture both Crimea and Sotchi during the war. In Akkula's story, Russia has better result in the fronts in the North than in the South, and Russia seems to be pretty weak in the battle for the Black Sea. The turning point is only at the end, when Russia manages to capture Kiev.
So, I conclude that for the duration of the war, Transnistria was certainly alone and can't count on nothing more that the Russian units already positioned in their territory.
In NATO side, we just see "local" armies. Either "big" NATO help is arriving later, either they are already very busy against Russia and count on armies there to make the work themselves. After all, the player core is a major NATO formation, and the russian player also face many major NATO assets early on during his campaign. Everyone can be too busy to assist in this secondary front.
Transnistria in itself being very small, it could be argued that a joint Romanian/Moldavian/Ukrainian forces attacking from every directions could be considered enough to capture it with very good chances of success.
Here's my bet : neither this ad-hoc coalition nor Transnistria will have any help during the scenario, unless maybe the few russian units already there or a few air units dispatched to assist "Moldovian coalition".
The scenario ?
Certainly about removing a potential threat on NATO rear during the first months of the war. Since Ukrainian also dispatch units (ant there is war on their borders), I guess that Cobasna depot is a target and a main reason why Ukraine participate. Ammunitions were very badly needed, and its capture would solve a lot of problems for them.
Another option : this scenario happen before 2017's WWIII.
I announced my bet, let's see if I'm right

Well played Imeror

The scenario takes place at the beginning of the WW3 story, so after the war stats.
Anyway, is a small scenario I made just for fun. No complex mechanics or anything
I am working on the final adjustments and the update will be ready to release. I expect many findings and potential misses as the changes on naval units were big, same for the related scenarios (South Atlantic '82 I am looking at you). So, I after the release I will be on standby reading to launch a hotfix or similar.
Best regards,
Akkula.

Thank you Akkula.
(And The others also)
I think I need to play more than making tanks again.
Maybe I'll get carried away and relaunch my ‘German mod’ for MdC. But the development here, especially with the additions of the other modders, has simply overwhelmed me.

I'm just a simple, white, old man.
Vielen Dank Akkula.

I'm already trying South Atlantic '82 with the new rules. Everything good, so far.
I've quickly launched Cobasna 2017 to quickly see what the scenario and new units looks like. A few obeservations, if you are interested to already start a potential fix list :
- I don't know if it is intentional : neither Moldova nor Transnistria can buy units. Maybe it's by design to allow more room for the biggest armies in play, or if you have forgotten to add them ;
- Romanian bridge engineer unit managed to evade your fix about missing big pictures
Personnal note : I'm happy you focus this scenario on Cobasna. I planned to focus mine on the politacal seat at Tiraspol rather than on the strategic objective that is Cobasna depot ; I see that I will avoid to make the same battle than you in my setting
I've not tried anything else for now ; I'll make a report about SA '82 (British side) if I see any problem

You can, if you lose several units, you will be able to purchase new ones. But at the start of the scenario, you are already maxed out.

Yeah, I think I missed a couple I added at the end. Nothing I cannot fix later

Can't wait

. The amount scripting was considerable, I hope the scenario gives you an entertained experience (for both sides). It's quite unique.

Shouldn't be any problem. You could apply the new version over the old one but your save will work correctly, and you will be able to enjoy the new icons.
Best regards,
Akkula.

First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the mod creator, Akkula, for all the hard work. I really enjoy this mod and truly appreciate the effort that has gone into it!
I'm new to this forum and just wanted to ask a few questions about the possibility of some future content additions.
For example, will we see Iranian and Israeli units featured in future campaigns?
Also, I noticed that several Chinese naval units seem to be missing, such as:
J-15 carrier-based fighter (including variants like J-15, J-15S, J-15D, and J-15T which will be used on the Fujian-class carrier)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shenyang_J-15
KJ-600 carrier-based AEW aircraft
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xi%27an_KJ-600
J-35 carrier-based fighter
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shenyang_J-35
Type 075 amphibious assault ship
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_07 ... opter_dock
Type 003 aircraft carrier (Fujian)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese ... ier_Fujian
Type 054B frigate
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_054B_frigate
In terms of the air force, it seems like the following units are also not yet included:
Z-10K attack helicopter (airborne troops variant) and
ZBD-03 airborne IFV
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZBD-03
Additionally, I haven’t seen many of the ballistic missile systems from China’s Rocket Force in the game yet.
I’d like to ask: Is there a chance that these units might be added in the future? Many of them are already in service or about to enter service, so I’m definitely looking forward to any updates or replies!
Thanks again, and keep up the amazing work!

Welcome on the forum
China is a relatively young faction in MC, I'm sure it will very soon be completed
Akkula has nearly made all of european armies (what is missing other than Kosovo and Cyprus now?), I guess that time to focus on another region approach now that the first one is nearly totally completed. Middle-East may be the next on his to do list... unless it's South-East Asia first

Yes I confirm that in this mission there are only Romanians and Ukrainians for Nato ) There is no Moldova, unless of course Romanians also pretend to be Moldovans )))) Playing for Transnistrian Moldavian Republic you can buy only Russian units ) Yes and the Romanians' btr-50 scout can't shoot unlike the same btr-50 of other nations )

In a bigger WW3 scenario, there is such a huge deserted territory of Iran

) We urgently need a Persian army to populate these wastelands between Syria, Caucasus and Turkey )))) Well for one thing we will practice how to save our atomic weapons, air war with the Jewish American coalition and epic mass battles with drones and missiles every day )))

Most of those units were introduced in the last couple of years. The WW3 Story takes place in 2017-2019 when those didn't exist (except the J-15, I missed that one it seems), so that's why I didn't make any.
However, that doesn't mean I will not add them to the Chinese roster

Maybe in the short term, shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the suggestions

As I said some time ago: game limitations. After nation number 49 (or so), the game doesn't allow the equipment purchase.
Of course I have some nations slots free for that end, by I am saving them for far larger projects (and exciting) in the future; Moldova is a relatively small military after all (same for Transnistria and the Baltics).
Best regards,
Akkula.

Ah, I see, I see.
I still don't know well how work the army creation, I thought that as long as a faction has flag and units, it means that it was fully implemented in the mod as a full faction.
Actually, if I understand well, as long as you give to a faction a value above 49 you can give to it flag and units but is still not considered a real faction by the game engine and thus its units can't be purchased. Only nations under 49 are "real" (according to the game) and have units that can be purchased.

Wow!
Really weird, and to make things worst, the base and airfield have no name so I don't have a clue about the original intention.
Easy fix, but... weird

At least it doesn't ruin or affect the scenario functionality,
Thanks for the catch!!

Hey just a question, will you add escape hexes in every scenario for the player? If they want to switch up something mid scenario and so. To make the player want to use more different units? If so, will you also change the look of the markers for escape hexes?
It seems my message before didn't send, there is an Armenian Special Forces unit in the Nagorno Karabakh scenario that has the name of a AA unit in it. I cannot find it right now, it must be spawned later in the game with a condition, and not from the start.
Best regards

Hi, it would be good if it were possible to make it possible to buy and use complete ships and submarines.
