Weekly round-up
In Division A SLancaster (Egyptian) was unable to beat pantherboy (Achaemenid) in his last match and is relegated. In Division B kraff (Skythian) managed to beat ahuyton (Egyptian) twice to post a tantalising target of 25 points for either BishUK (Achaemenid) or lydianed (Egyptian) to overtake. BishUK and lydianed both need to get 6 points from their "mirror match" against each other to overtake kraff - 5 points will only be enough for a tie at the top of the table. ahuyton is relegated after those 2 defeats. In Division C SpeedyCM (Median) just needs 1 point from his last match against deeter (Babylonian) to overtake tmac11 (Egyptian) and win automatic promotion, while batesmotel (Thracian) needs to defeat deeter in their last match to overtake Spacemonkey76 (Assyrian) and avoid the drop. No change in Division D this week, but in Division E sarmation (Saka) has extended his unbeaten run to 8 matches. It is still mathematically possible for angel42052 (Assyrian) to overtake sarmation, but he will have to beat him twice in their "mirror match" together. At the bottom gamercb (Hebrew) is relegated after losing narrowly to GeneralKostas (Median). Division F finished last week.

The quivers were empty . My right flank was crumbling with several losing "close combat" fights but my left flank won the day just in time by a shameless "5 against one" cavalry charge against the last surviving unit of this flank. Thanks for the game.

A first defeat for harveylh (German) this week has opened the door for klayeckles (Irish) to become the first champion of the High Middle Ages section. harveylh must now get at least 2 points from his last match against Nosy_Rat to win the championship. Snugglebunnies (Polish) will finish third with 7 wins, including 4 narrow 3 point victories (probably a record in itself). At the bottom both sunnyboy (Bohemian) and XLegione (Teutonic) desperately need points to avoid relegation with 3 matches each remaining. In Division B ericdoman1 (Mongol) needs 4 points from his match with Triarii (Teutonic) to win automatic promotion, while Challenge1 (German) is adrift at the bottom and must win his match against schmolywar (Bohemian) to keep his hopes of avoiding the drop alive. A no-score draw for Jagger2002 (Bohemian) this week means he now needs 10 points from his last 3 matches to win Division C ahead of tyronec (German). He still has to play GDod (Teutonic), Ironclad (Mongol) and Questar17 (Scots). Questar17 can still reach 28 points himself, but cannot overtake tyronec as he lost their match together. In Division D SpeedyCM's hopes of winning automatic promotion are still alive after a fourth consecutive 4 point win. He now has to decisively beat Garokan (Polish) and ulysisgrunt (English) to deny Captainwaltersavage (Bohemian) the top spot. Doyley50 (Norwegian) is relegated after losing to Garokan this week. Morat (Polish) is charging away from a very sluggish Division E with 7 wins in a row, but he can still be caught if he were to lose his crucial match against toska (English). random27 (German) is in second and must keep winning now to have any chance of benefitting from any slip ups from Morat. At the bottom both Barrold713 (Teutonic) and Supervark (Anglo-Irish) are still looking for their first points. Just the wooden spoon to be decided now in Division F where gort7078 (German) trails hscic (Swedish) by 2 points with 3 matches remaining.

A much closer game than it looks. I was ahead but not by a lot and then I had a turn where the Romano-British had a cascade of breaking units.
