General Shapur - Anglo Danish 1017-1041 AD with Welsh allies draws with random27 - Arab, Abbasid 874-946 AD with Arab, Syria/Iraq allies 54:52

My Danes formed up in a square checkerboard block. We knew there would be hprse archers and footarchers with spearmen. The idea was to charge to the infantry and make short work of them while using the box formation to hold of flanking attacks by the massed cavalry.

Well, the plan worked insofar as we made it to the infantry line and cut the foot troops down. However, the cavalry proved too hard to catch after I lost all my mounted troops. When I attacked he evaded, when he attacked he bounced.

A struggle that went the full distance.

rs2excelsior has opened my PM but he has not replied to me yet. I will give him a couple of days more, but it looks like he has decided to stop playing. If I do not hear anything by first thing Wednesday morning I will start the formal adjudication process so players are not kept hanging around pointlessly. Burgot (Achaemenid Persian 550-546 BC) versus Sgt0gre (Hebrew 681-586 BC with Kushite Egyptian 726-656 BC allies)

Match was actually played, but result not reported. Burgot cannot remember the score, Sgt0gre has not responded to my PM as he has finished all his other FOG2DL matches.

Match to be scored as a draw 0-0 (voting 3-0), with the caveat that if further information becomes available before the end of the season on April 13th then we will review this decision.
