Hi, Guille !
Thanks for quick respond and icon desinging for me. I will be thinking about cross hairs sign, though I imagined a sign of the falling bomb (maybe angle 45 degrees ?).
Maybe Fi-156 not bright sample about 7/8, but mostly i planned made switchable class "Jabo", for example Bf 109E-4/B, 110C-4/B and so.
In fighter stance (high altitude) - ordinary stats but without SA/HA, in t.bomber stance (low altitude) - SA/HA, minus ini, minus move, minus GD (and minus Spot for Recon).

Yrfin:
I have not thought about a falling bomb... Here is my try, I hope it fits your needs... About the switch, yes, that would be the best we can do... But I don't like the concept that one bomb-laden fighter, configured to a ground attack mission can be "switched" to a pure air superiority fighter (gaining in Air Attack, initiative, etc...) and then, magically get the bombs back on board when switched again and be ready to bomb a surface target... The solution would be to implement a "Switch on base only" button for aircraft, where you can change the air unit configuration (bombs, rockets, torpedoes, AA guns) but only when they are stationed on base but not when they are flying. May be we can try to lobby the game developers? Will they bother to further develop this game engine?
Here is the new version of the icon with the "falling bomb" marker...

Another (better looking?) version...

Thanks twice, Guille ! Good work. Now, i have 2 version and must make a choice
And about my conception Jabo airplanes (fighter/bomber). Maybe i was not clear enough (sorry for my poor english).
Im agreed, what "Switch on air-base" looking more clear.
But its also not solve main problem: one ammo pool for both stance. I cant make different ammo for different stance (say 8 ammo for fighter stance and 1 ammo for bomber stance). And im very doubt an opportunity game developers at solve this problem.
...one bomb-laden fighter, configured to a ground attack mission can be "switched" to a pure air superiority fighter (gaining in Air Attack, initiative, etc...)
No, not at all.
1. Jabo at fighter stance (high-level flight) have less Ini (-1 ? -2), Fuel, Move, Ammo then pure fighter, and dont have SA/HA (0/0).
2. Jabo at bomber stance (low-level flight) have less GD (-7 ?), Ini (-2 from fighter stance), but have SA/HA. And only passive AA.
So fighter/bomber looking like "weak" fighter, very vulnerable in bomber stance and cost much more.
So you can choice: have 1 pure fighter and 1 pure t.bomber or have 1 fighter/bomber.
Its like in real life: Fighter/bomber flying at high-level with bombs ("heavy loaded" fighter), then lowered altitude, drop few of bombs, then the increased flight altitude, fighting like "heavy loaded" fighter, then lowered altitude and bombing again...
Of couse, its far away from ideal solution, but it add more flexibility for play. Anyway it just idea and need to be tested. IMHO.

Thanks for the nice words! About the switch modes, I think this is the best we can get with the actual game rules... But in fact, in real air combat, is very doubtful that any fighter bomber pilot would engage in air combat against enemy aircraft without jettisoning all the bombs, external tanks, etc... that his plane has hanging in its hard points... and then, after finishing the air skirmish, go on bombing ground targets... But as I said, this is the best we can get... One of the purposes of air interception is not only to destroy/damage any aircraft, but also to force them to abort its bombing mission by making them drop the bombload before getting to the target zone...

Ok, changig the focus of this thread... Here are some big units portraits that I had been uploading lately, and they were in the wrong size (296x296 pixels instead of 256x256 pixels). So, here they are, in the correct size and format

Back to an old warhorse... A reworked Bf-109 pack, with all the customary camo schemes, including a very special, what if, one: The Red Baron's 109!
Enjoy!

Nice work there Guille!.
I just hope you keep producing more icons, they are inspiration to add more features to any WW2 mod (like mine

)
Thanks a lot friend.
Best regards,
Akkula.

Hi Akkula! As always, thanks for your kind words... I always try to share some stuff, as available time allows me to... Now I'm working in some new Soviet units asked by Intenso, a Railway Engineers and a High Command Unit... May be you will find some use for them, also, as the "asking season" is on, you can ask some unit(s) you wish... I will try to deliver
Thanks again, pal!

Hi, Guille !
As i can see, youre expert in icon designing.
I have ideas about modding PzC, and i have few icons for it. But I need this kind of units for Soviet Corp (based on Zis-5/6).
Can you make it (if its intresting for you, of coz )?

Hello Yrfin... Thanks for you nice words, but I think you are over stressing things... I am no expert, I just do what I can and what is fun to me...
Here are some Zis-5 based auxiliary units: a supply truck, and a fuel tanker... Enjoy!

Some civilian icons, asked by Intenso82. They are from various sources, the DMP Ostfront mod, one icon uploaded by Maguro (a user that is absent from a long time). I hope the can be used...

Now I get it... That woman's shirt was almost the exact tone than the grass on the ground... I made a new version, and changed that shirt's colour to a more contrasting one...

A distinctive looking icon for an existing unit, the Soviet Bridge Engineers (in the 1939 and 1943 upgraded variants), also included a new icon in the pack: a dedicated transport unit. May be they can be used to add more eye-candy to the several Soviet-themed mods present here...
