Division A
klayeckles (irish+anglo irish) defeats Snugglebunnies (polish + baltic states) 60 to 40
armies each took a hill facing each other. while the polish archers set up a withering firing line that slowly cut down the irish on the opposite hill, half the irish manouvered in an attempt to flank. the left was a stalemate but on the irish right a little extra numbers meant that when they assaulted the hill there was an opportunity for a cav flank charge on the engaged polish knights. once the hard shell was cracked the gooey center of bowmen was a easy snack for the irish axemen. the irish defending the hill lasted just long enough...and managed to charge down at the end to partake in the sacking. Very tense one that could have easily gone the other way had the polish knights lived up to their reputation.

A cagey start with the Irish taking some punishing missile damage before getting superior numbers on the left wing and rolling up the main Anglo Norman line.GG

Barrold713 (Estruscan) defeats Captainwaltersavage (Roman) 44-17
I have to say I expected to lose this one. The map did me a favor and I was able to get a line on the hill lined with my lower quality heavy foot while allowing me to get the Sammies rolling on my right. They were able to turn the flank with some heavy lifting and it was enough to get around and break enough Romans to get the win. Good game and thanks for the match.
Cheers

Division B
Nijis (Hungarians) beats Triarii (Teutonic knights) 65-39.
The Teutonic Order had lots of superior and highly superior knights while the Hungarians had lots of average horse archers and medium cavalry. Quantity eventually prevailed.

The Hungarians were ambushed in a narrow strip between the forest and the hill. While they managed to block the flanking forces in the forest, things on the hill did not go so smoothly. The victory in the center was decisive. Good game, thanks.

SLancaster German Imperial 1155-1199 AD drew with Questar17 Scots 1155-1161 AD with Scots (Isles and Highlands) 1050-1319 AD allies. 59-52.
I really had to fight hard against the mighty Scots. Their infantry is very strong. I made some mistakes in the set-up and at the start of the battle. In the end, I used a marsh to slow him and was quite surprised to move ahead and then almost win. A draw is a fair result.

Division C
SLancaster German (Imperial) 1155-1199 AD drew with Najanaja Danish 1200-1319 AD with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD allies. 53-35.
A cagey first half to the battle. We finally engaged on my right side. Woods and forest made it difficult to operate. He made some good breakthroughs along my line but then I came back and got close to winning.
This is my last game in the division and everyone has played hard and fair. The battles have been fun to play. Good luck to all in their last few matches.

Both armies were facing on unfavourable terrain for the opponent. Hills for the irish and open for the mongols. So both armies went home.
