Al players, send private messages to opponents as well.

Still a lot of challenges up that have not been accepted and are 2 or more weeks old.

Season 9 rules

If you sent 3 private messages to an opponent, including 3 message on the correct league link and there has been no response whatsoever, you can claim that game. If somebody has not moved at all for 1 month plus, you can claim that game as is allowed on the multiplayer system.
To make it easier for players to know they have received a challenge. Go to private messages, board preference, edit global settings and hit yes for everything. You will receive an email informing you of private messages.

OK porsenna and zumHeuriger -- you can run, but you can't hide. I've made two public postings and sent two PMs.

I'm going to post the third ones this weekend.

Best regards,

Division 1

Morbio Eastern Foederate Romans 39/45 s Tiavals Ancient British 55/55

I'm embarrassed by the win, which was depite my play rather than because of it. I feel for Tiavals who deserved better.

Hi Both

Voskarp. You are correct in my view. That is using diferent armies each season.

EAP and LAP are very different in my opinion.

But using a different successor army each season, is I suppose acceptable BUT they aren't really that different.

In the LT game you have Roman armies that are near enough identical, maybe the Foederate are the exception. Also the prot superior lance armed armies, eg Sciri, Gepid, Lombard are very similar

I think players actually become better when they try out a wide array of armies/troop types. For example, if you have never used a cavalry bow army and face one you may find it difficult. If you have used a cavalry bow army, you will understand it's strengths and weaknesses when facing one.

The bottom line is that you have paid for the books so you may as well get your money's worth by trying out as many armies as possible.

Eric,

I agree on playing a variety of armies, by my reckoning, I've played 30 different armies in the less than two years I've been playing the game.

Can I understand from your reply that the "spirit" of the "different army / different nation" rule will be the interpretation of our army requests season to season, rather than the "letter of the rule"?

Best,

Eric - I can't see them? When I look at accept a challenge there are only four games from 10th November and none of them are for me?

Who are they from?

Just as a warning - I only really play at weekends, but I do play fairly frequently and rapidly during weekends :)

I see 3 from you on 10 Nov 13.33.

They are prob in your current games folder.

I have 2 challenges one 10 Nov and another 9 dec.

My first challenge is with Sharkall, who has been very busy with studies. My second is for Triarius, who is busy due to work

Ah - they are probably some of the earlier dodgy ones I sent that didn't have Fog of War turned on - they should be deleted I think.

- I'm currently playing against Mike48, Solly and Supervark
- I have been beaten by Fogman and Voskarp
- I beat Rom1944
- I have yet to do my replay against Okie
- I need to play Porsenna and Epos

I'll setup new challenges against Okie, Porsenna and Epos.
