This was a wepong designed for mountain troops, but it was also used by paratroopers because of its relative light weight and the possibility of being disassembled in several pieces for it transportation. In the attached compressed file you will obtain the regular and SE Fallschirmjager units, and also a big unit portrait. Enjoy!

I like your neverending theme "multipurpose and switchable units" Guillermo! So many different units with big variety of usable weapons.
Especially the paras could bring many of the unknown (if you think about vanilla stuff) weapons to the front.

Thanks guys fore the good comments... Yes, the "switch" function is one of the aspects that I like more of this game... So I try to think ideas to use it to the fullest... I time and will allows me to, I will start a well documentes "multipurpose units mod" to be used with the vanilla and Grand Campaign games...
About snipers, thanks to Asuser who uploaded a very good Wehrmacht Sniper Team icon, I present you here this same unit with their SE siblings, and a big unit portrait of a lone (no spotter), but well camouflaged sniper...
Enjoy!

Very dynamic!!! Great!
For the big UI pictures we could add the content with the spotter.
Whats up with the 2nd team, 3rd picture, left side... ugly pixel-blob on the barrel?

In fact... I had the images stored, because I was thinking about making a German Sniping unit... Because of that, the short time delivery! I could not find a good image with the complete team for the big unit picture, and besides, the camouflaged sniper figure looked to good to me to ignore. I don't think I can take a copy of that figure and transform it in a spotter, that is beyond my skills I'm afraid.
Fixed the stray pixel near the muzzle of the left side sniper... Thanks for pointing out.

Hi Anders! A very good one, thanks for sharing!
By the way, I was thinking about how to give a sniper unit more uses to be more desirable to include such unit in the player core... The logical answer is to apply the "switching treatment", of course! And I thought about adding a switch to this unit to give it a function as a recon unit, in the "recon" mode, the unit would have movement = 4 hexes, spotting = 3, defensive fire only (you don't want to draw attention by firing your weapon when you are on a recon mission) and both the "reconmove" and "camo" traits. To differentiate this switch from the sniping mode unit I would like to obtain from you a figure of the sniper in a standing pose with the rifle in his hands, but not aiming it to a target (or may be with its weapon on his shoulder to free his hands to use another set of binoculars)... Would it be possible for you to do that when you have time?
Thanks!!

Interesting thing. It depends on a good source and master picture. Maybe...will see...

I made a sprite "sov_mech" for Strategic command and I thought that can be used for Panzer Corps

I checked it out and think about "...standing pose with the rifle in his hands..."
Now I decided to make a more defensive position with some equipment. Here it is:

Hopefully you can use it!
It would be nice to get some e-file values for this unit.

Here is a unit I made some years ago for Infantry from Ostfront units of snipers..............I just need to get the flashes and sounds set right on them. Have not been able to manage that.

Hi guys... Thanks for all the input...
Daon: Those icons you uploaded are perfectly useful for this game, but I prefer to make new units to be more compatible with the vanilla game ones... So, first of all, I like the icons to be in the same perspective as the original ones (positioned as looked directly from the side, and from slightly above). Anyway, any input can be useful for someone, so keep them posting if you like... This thread is completely free for anyone with good and helpful intentions.
Flak: Yes, I knew this sniper icon unit from the Ostfront mod... In fact, I also used parts of it for my current work, mainly the big observation binoculars. The unit you developed also looks very good and it has been already stored in my collection, I will surely find a use for it. I am very interested in finding a good looking prone figure... Big thanks to you for sharing!!
Asuser: Also thanks (again) for you latest unit... It looks a bit "static" for the unit type I was planing for (I attach what I have been working on, based on your previous sniper icon), but I was thinking about this new unit and this bivouac (static) icon will be useful to include a third switch to the sniper unit: an observation post! This would be less mobile (movement 1, and this is just to allow the unit to retreat if heavily hit, in order not to force its surrender) but with best spotting range (maybe 4) and perhaps the "Radar" trait to give friendly close units an initiative boost (because of the info collected and passed to them by the snipers). The interesting thing is that both of us thought about giving those guys a "scissors type" observation binocular... Amazing!

I am very near to complete the whole "German Sniper pack", the only units missing are the desert colored ones and also the big unit for every variant (there would be Regular Wehrmacht Snipers, Regular Desert colored, SE and SS variants with their distinctive uniforms). Now I will add the Observation post unit in all those camo variants. (that little tent will look terrific when applied different camo to it by using the DCS software!) Also, I am thinking to add an extra template to apply some foliage over the tent to blend it better with its surroundings (more or less in the style you released long ago for the StuG III icon). So, plenty of work (fun) is waiting for me! Here are a preview of what I was working on ("mobile recon" snipers and attacking snipers):
Greetings and thanks to all for the support!!

Great units Guille I like them much. I have always wanted to have some different versions of individual soldiers for the game. I have a file of some I made if I can ever get the flashes, etc. lined up correctly.
And I would like to see the shoulders and arms of that spotter holding the scherenfernrohr steady LOL

A little bit "chop and crack" of the forerunning icons but the results are good.
The next step could be to make sniper teams for US and GB.

The Leopard recon tank... A small, but powerful unit, with a shortened Panther drive-train, and a Puma turret with a long 5 cm gun... Enjoy!
Edit: Uploaded, new, improved files...

Hi, Guille
Id like what you do and maybe yon can help me with icons for my Multipurpose Fi-156.
Its Recon/Light Bomber, (7/8) so i need icon for 8 stance: Bombing sight in left lower corner.
I have my Fi-156 in recon stance with binocular sight. And i need same icon with "bomb" sight instead "binocular".

Hello Yrfin...
I made a quicck conversion of the "switchable unit" marker used in the icons of the Battlefield Europe mod... I hope it fits your purposes right... About you private message, I say that I would like to help you, but don't expect very quick answers, because I have little free time due to my work demands. Post here the things you will be needing and I will try to help you.
Here is the Fi-156 icon in its Tactical role... By the way... Could you explain what will be the differences you thought for both roles of the Fi-156? The Recon switch is fairly obvious, but what attributes will have this unit when switched to tactical bomber? I am always interested in learning about clever ways to use this feature of this game... Long live Panzer Corps!
Thanks!

I uploaded a new version of the Leopard recon tank, wit detail improvements and the addition of a star type radio aerial. Also, I am attaching the big unit portrait here.
Greetings!
