Just when the Poles started to mount their comeback a double drop and rally of a routed Norman unit provided enough to establish a winner.

Tough, tough fight against the Egyptians; luck, bad breaks, and high casualties on both sides. Could have gone either way, was much closer than score suggests! Fun and exciting game!^^

A wide flank from out of the woods hit the Vikings while a brave Brythonic foot held up the other side, and they couldn't recover, although they fought hard and bravely to the end. GG!

Aetius39 (Egyptian) defeats SLancaster (Assyrian) 52-27

With the centers of both armies atop small hills facing each other, the Egyptians attempted to flank from both sides, while the center moved forward. There was success on the Egyptian right, but the left was pretty much destroyed as it was isolated. The center was mixed results. Therefore for a long time, both sides grinded at each other, both losing heavily, yet both holding up. Finally the successful Egyptian flanking side slowly moved up the center hill, and the armored units routed the Assyrian archers, along with some flanks. It was a tough, fun game. SLancaster was a dogged opponent; not easy to beat! GG again^^

The battlefield was split by a deep stream with mountains on each flank. telesien made a valiant attempt to cross an unguarded section of the stream. Byzantine infantry bow fire and cavalry mobility was a difficult obstacle to overcome.
