British partisans have been spotted close to Inverness while the British destroyer is almost done.

Turn 85 – 4 December 1944
Weather: snow and frozen

Ostfront:
Maybe this will be the first winter to be grateful for as it might help in crossing the frozen Volga River now… Anyway, Guderian’s tanks almost reached Ulyanovsk with infantry being close by.
Same with von Kleist’s units in front of Saratov.
Stalingrad is encircled and the direct attack on the city will start once the defending artilleries have been defeated.

Middle East:
Romanian infantry reached Fallujah West of the Euphrates River.
Western Europe:
First Italian troops are reaching Marseille from Africa.
Scotland:
Aberdeen is under Axis control.

Turn 86 – 19 December 1944
Weather: snow and frozen

Ostfront:
Guderian is preparing the infantry attack on Ulyanovsk. Armored units are planned to protect its flanks given Ulyanovsk’s exposed location at the forward edge of the battle area.
Very similar situation around Saratov. Armored units will bypass Saratov to make space for the subsequent infantry units while protecting them at the same time.
Stalingrad has been cut off and is under heavy attack already.

Middle East:
Mainly Romanian infantry units are approaching Nadjaf South of Baghdad.
Rommel is on its way to Jerusalem with tanks leading the advance. However, the terrain of Palestine is characterized by hills along the Jordan River so more infantry units might be needed for effective operations.
Scotland:
German Gebirgsjäger reached Inverness.

Turn 87 – 3 January 1945
Weather: snow and frozen

Ostfront:
Russian recon unit attacked Vologda from the North.
Middle East:
Advance towards Aleppo and its airfield.
Ongoing infantry attack on Nadjaf.

Paulus’ tanks attack the Basra industrial area.
Engaged British defense around Jerusalem.
Northern Ireland:
First German grenadier unit landed South of Belfast.

Turn 88 – 18 January 1945
Weather: snow and frozen

Ostfront:
Ulyanovsk has been seized by Finnish Jäger units and Kuybyshev with Stalin’s bunker has been reached by Guderian’s tanks.
Also Saratov is under Axis control and von Kleist’s Army Group Center has crossed the frozen Volga River.
Stalingrad and its adjacent airfield has been seized as well.

Von Manstein reports an imminent but most likely isolated IS-2 attack North-East of Astrakhan. German Panther and Jagdpanther units close by will take this one on.
So the single Russian tank passed Poti and is heading West.
Middle East:
Basra oil field has been seized but the fighting continues nonetheless.

Tough fighting around Jerusalem. Infantry units are on their way to support a breakthrough.
Scotland:
German Gebirgsjäger seized Inverness and now von Rundstedt contemplates seizing the Orkney Islands including Scapa Flow, the former British naval base, as well. Unfortunately however, the German paras were killed in action in the Middle East some months ago. So is it actually worth another naval operation?
Northern Ireland:
The attack on Belfast has started with long range artillery support.

Turn 89 – 2 February 1945
Weather: clear and frozen

Ostfront:
Surprise East of Leningrad: a Russian motorcycle passed the German lines and is heading towards Leningrad.
Luftwaffe is supporting the attack on Kuybyshev while first Axis units reached the Ural River at the undefended city of Uralsk.
In the meantime, the defense of Novorossiysk is being prepared.

Middle East:
Heavy fighting around Basra. The British still have ships in the Persian Gulf as well.
Aleppo is in sight and its airport is under attack already.
Rommel requested naval and air support for his attack on Jerusalem.

Wales:
British partisans North of Cardiff!
Northern Ireland:
Belfast has been seized. However, the airport is still under Allied control. Von Rundstedt sent a tank unit for additional support.
Western Europe:
The air raids on cities in Northern Germany continue, even by Soviet long-range strategic bombers...

Turn 90 – 17 February 1945
Weather: clear and dry

Overall situation:
The OKW is thrilled about the most recent developments and successes. First of all, the Soviet Union has been defeated. Furthermore, all oil fields in the Middle East have been secured. However, Aleppo and Beirut still need to be seized to defeat the British in the Middle East as well.

Ostfront:
Kuybyshev and Uralsk have been seized and the Soviet Union has been defeated.
Von Manstein’s troops reached Atyrau’s airport at the Ural River.

Middle East:
The British troops in Aleppo are heavily entrenched and the Axis forces don’t have any artillery units with them/close by.
Jerusalem has been seized and Rommel is on its way to Haifa.
Northern Ireland:
The fighting around Belfast continues. However, the tank unit is expected to make a difference soon.

Turn 91 – 4 March 1945
Weather: clear and dry

Ostfront:
Army Group Center is advancing along the Ural River and stands close to Chkalov.
Middle East:
Paulus hasn’t found a real solution for the situation in Aleppo yet. Maybe the British will attack the airport instead?
An Italian light cruiser reached Haifa and is blocking the city until ground forces arrive. However, advancing with ground units along the Jordan River takes time.

Northern Ireland:
Unfortunately, the German grenadier unit in Belfast was lost. However, the airport will be seized shortly, hopefully…
Scotland:
All Scottish fortifications have been cleared by now as well.

Turn 92 – 19 March 1945
Weather: clear and dry

Middle East:
Basra is under Axis control.
However, Haifa and Beirut are still under British control.
Same with Aleppo.

Northern Ireland:
Belfast airport has been seized, finally! Now only the US Naval Air Station Keflavik in Iceland is left…

Ostfront:
Guderian reached Ufa at the Belaya River close to the Ural Mountains.
