kmaher (Galatian) 35/40 vs dave_r (Lydian) 51/51

Thanks for the game. Very close and went down to the wire. I think the dice gods smiled on me.

Div C Result

Lydianed (EAP Plataea) 14/41 vs Warmonger (Carthaginians) 45/41

Excellent Cartho HF held back from the main attack and got shot up by a cavalry flanking move before being mauled. On the Persian left, the Median cav fought the Cartho cav to a standstill with equal losses on both sides. This allowed the Immortals in the Persian centre to win a slow grind against the Cartho MF (God, those Bruttians are tough). Some lucky shooting and domino-effect routs ended the game more quickly than Warmonger deserved. Thanks for the game

Voskarp if we have played Zum does it still count or is it a reset? Also is Fogman still active in Classical or has he withdrawn as he did in Dark Ages?

Cheers Rex

Since zumHeuriger only played one game (from what I can see in the scoreboard) I think that it won't count. As I understand it fogman quit the whole tournament. (But who can be sure of anything nowadays? It's hard remembering the facts with all the distortion that went on... :( )

It was a difficult one - I seemed to break through the centre and then couldn't kill anything more :(

I don't think the army is capable of capatilising on a break through. I enjoyed the game though - thanks.

We are pleased to anounce the defeat of the Persian army of King Rex (there's a redundancy...).
The enemy were vigorous in strategy (Rex gamely attacked rather than sitting in the bad going) and fought well, but the courage and ferocity of the Macedonians and Greeks proved superior (for the last few turns the dice were on my side decisively).

Macs 27/46 v Rex's EAP 67/57

If I don't hear from Caiko very soon, he'll be replaced as reserve for zumHeuriger.

It was certainly a nail biter.. especially after you looted my camp right at the end.. Anyway I've played all my games.. All my results are posted apart from my defeat to Lydianed's Persians. Thanks everyone.. It was a fun first LOEG season. Congrats to Jonah who won't be caught.

wow...a 17 turn cat and mouse game...both sides made some errors, and it came down to some "dicey" moments.

great one Hidde!
