I agree that we keep this going, but what we need is some victory goal that is achievable before we all die of old age
Does anyone have any ideas?

YES, it is.. I blew my shoulder out in Aspen for the 4th time and dedcided to actually have it looked at....it is mush. They don't even know if they can find a place to sew it too that will hold.
The Back...years of taking and giving hits going back to HS and College Footbal ( I played OL against the Veer T and the wishbone (YEP, I am that old). Back is healing fine..shoulder a little worried. I retired (so my wife thinks) after i hit that last guy....we will see what the doctor thinks!!!
Iwill keep the greeks and the Greckos as my Mercs

Battle result:
Gekko-Bactrians (Deeter) 27/34 vs. Egyptians (Tiavals) 39/39
No camps looted, but one Egyptain TC died.
Never faced these Egyptians before. Lots of superior shooty types, but really wierd HF armed the LS and nothing else. Lancers had a field day with them. Good game.

We non Americans have no idea what OL, Veer T and wishbone mean, and we laugh at all the padding and helmets

Eight days into the season and Fedem, Batesmotel, iandavidsmith, Grudgebringer (busted shoulder, pffft), Deeter, Greetings44 and myself

have made no challenges. What a bunch of slackers!
Radio has made one challenge and is therefore only moderately slack

.
I get it, LOEG and all is keeping us busy so will give it another week before I start pm'ing people, including myself

.
cheers
macsen

I love American football..I was good at it and LOVE to hit people....but in my day we had crappy helments...Shoulder pads not made out of unbreakable material, and facemasks that only had 1 and maybe two little bars to protect out face. We learned to tackle with our SHOULDERS and WRAP UP to bring someone down. Now, they ALL (even at high school age) want to make the BIG HIT, not bring the man to the ground. Which is why I got so enamored with Union Rugby 15's...it is man up and no pads and Ialways was grinning wide while I am doing it...and did it for 38 years. NOW, I pay the price with these surgeries. Do I want them..lol, what do you think. But i have NEVER moaned about the day I would have to have them. American football came from Rugby, as Rugby came from Soccer (errrr, Football to all those not in the states). I paid my dues..got my ticket, and took the ride!!
