OK chaps, as long as the tournament keeps moving that is fine. It looks like we should finish all the qualifying events (S+S, LT and EE) by the end of October-ish - and then we can start the finals in early November. As long as we know the NAFF army of the year for 2011 by Xmas then that is OK.

I have not heard from Archie so I will be taking over his games. I have accepted your challenge for my Pict army but I am getting an error message ("Sorry could not write to file etc") when I try to accept with my Early German BC. It is a bit of a puzzle, to be honest. Has anybody else had this happen with the Early Germans?

Archie, I am assuming that you are busy at the moment. I will not put you down for any more NAFF games until I hear from you. Cheers.

Right, I have got the second game working now by choosing an "open" battlefield rather than a "very open" one. :?

in a first battle, the tencteri (37:62) defeated the caledonians (53:53), really a weak army
a rematch has just started

Thanks stockwellpete. Will start the battles.

Picts vs Germans - ouch

zumHeuriger Picts 51/51 raizer E.Germans 27/54 in close terrain
raizer Picts 60/59 zumHeuriger E. Germans 7/54 in open terrain

So the E.Germans go up 2-0

There is a problem, chaps. zumHeuriger and raizer have played Picts v Early Germans when I had put them down for Caledonians versus Tencteri. Extremely naff of them, I must say.

So I will only count this result for NAFF if either TGM or Fedem tells me that they have not started their paired game yet. If TGM and Fedem are underway in their games then the "erroneous" games between zumHeuriger and raizer will be declared "void". Sorry chaps. In this case zumHeuriger and raizer are cordially invited to play the correct pairing now - if you refuse you will be immersed in naptha by my naffatun officials!

TGM or Fedem, what is the position please?
