The brave but outnumbered defenders of Thurium have finally succumbed to the Greeks.
The Greeks managed to stop the Lucanians getting to the nasty terrain this time and won 45 - 19.

Yet another horrifying meatgrinder fighting in the morose Umbrian hills, good game sir!
The battle was also noted for the death of at least 6 generals from both sides!!! One shot between the eyes by slinger in close combat, then two dropping next to each other the next round were the most memorable LOL

At least it saves me the job of sacking the incompetent generals - there weren't any left. Well played, enjoyable challenge.

carpenkm beat karvon 64-40
the samnites placed themselves i a virtually impregnable position on top of a rough hill at the edge of the map. somehow by weight of numbers and luck they were finally beaten. A really tough and hard fought match - well played.
