. . . 2 for each of the heroes (not 3 each)
The latest update changes the two Hero costs to 3. Which is enough to force the player to choose as he no longer has enough Commendation Point to get everything.
Note one of the heroes says it costs 2 but actually subtracts 3.

I checked the lua for Kummersdorf and while the TEXT popup says 2 CP for each of the two heroes, you actually pay 3 for each.
Wow.
Quality control never goes out of style

Bethesda managed to transfer fixed Fallout 4 bugs to Fallout 76, so a typo in mission text is something I can forgive.

So, taking the Leningrad route and achieving all bonus objectives, I should be able to get all rewards (including both heroes at Kummersdorf) except the Panzer IIINs at Demyansk, correct?

If you want both AA/AT heroes at Kummersdorf, there is at least one CD offer that you will need to decline. You can look at the above list and decide ahead of time which you wish to forgo. However, if you accept every offer, then I believe you will be 1 CD point short to pick up both. For example, in AO41 I rejected the offer for the twin He111 bomber. That made it possible for me to acquire both SPAT units in the training scenario after the Crete scenario.

I'm talking about the long haul. I'm planning to skip the IIINs and wondering if that plus all bonus goals will be enough to get everything for the whole campaign on the Leningrad track.

Short answer, yes. Generally, the DLCs are designed to reward more CD points then you can even use so that no player would be required to achieve all of the bonus objectives to get everything. There's some forgiveness built-in. However, you would have to decline something to have enough to receive both special heroes at Kummersdorf.
I value unique heroes above all else especially for the long haul, so for me it's an no-brainer. In fact, I usually don't even use most of the equipment that I get from CD points or hidden caches.

I haven't heard about any update since the big patch last November, which my 1942 guide is already updated to.

There are no caches of UNL-35 in SCW.
There are several times one can get UNL-35s with commendation points, as is in Merida, the Third Scenario.
The Hidden Cache in Antequera at [20,4] is artillery.

No, you're not crazy...or no more so than the rest of us.
I am going to guess what you are talking about.
There are sometimes "triggers" that occur in some maps at certain points that may cause a dialogue box to appear. These can be caused, or "triggered," by a hex you capture or a turn that you reach to name the two that immediately come to mind. These triggered text boxes might give you information, offer you equipment, or a host of other things. The point is that they are written into the game. Some you have to do something to "trigger" it, others happen no matter what. And then there are some that only occur if you have the "requirements" for it, like enough CD points or a token unit, for example.
If you want to know if you have a mod installed, on the main menu screen where you launch the game, select "Mod Manager" and that should open up a window that will show you. If you see nothing, then no, you probably don't have a mod installed...but I don't know how you would have forgotten that in the first place.
Otherwise, post a screenshot of what you are talking about!
Hope this helps!

Do people think the Il-2 gift unit in AO 1939 is worth the price? Seems like a ton of prestige to lose for something that takes up an extra slot and doesn't really upgrade ground attack capability. Thinking of declining the prestige sink, but wanted to hear people's thoughts before I make the decision in my playthrough.

You don't have other use of you CP if you don't take it, anyway. It's also more durable than your fragil stuka, which is due to it being an equipment from 1941~1942. Tactical bombers like stuka is really hard to survive in late war as the allied fighter development overcomes yours more and more.
As for the prestige sink, it's also kind of the same thing. If you have more than enough, then that sink doesn't hurt anyway. If you have too few, the sink won't make things worse that much.

Yes, I am finding that to be the case more and more. Any small advantage it has over the Stuka is not worth the greater slot cost to deploy it. My current core has it - because I have plenty of CD points and prestige - but I rarely use it. It only has 1 1/2 stars of experience.

Just a question, because I am a bit confused about the commendation points in the Saar Offensive part of AO 1939: I recently bought SCW and 1939 and enjoyed it so far.
I'm not the best palyer, but I managed to achive at least some of the bonus objekctives. After spending my initial 5 CP on Kerscher, I managed to get the following bonus objectives:
1. Sarreguemines: Deployed all six minefields
2. Orenthal: Held 13 victory hexes
3. Forbach: Killed the sentries and destroyed the hangars (didn't get the last depot in the south east).
If I understand Stormchaser's overview correctly, I should have 6 CP now (3 from Sarreguemines, 1 from Orenthal and 2 from Forbach), i.e. just enough for Oleh Dir. But the game tells me that I have only four. Am I wrong about the count or is this a bug? It seems that I didn't get the last 2 CP in Sarreguemines despite deploying all minefields.
I hope, there is a solution to this problem, because there is no way I continue playing without Oleh and I don't have the time to replay everything. If necessary, please tell my, if there is a cheat to get Oleh Dir or the missing CP's.
