Are we using vanilla armies or TT army lists? I may have made a false assumption.
If its vanilla I would choose Achaemenid Persians (Thymbra), with Lydian allies 550.

No problem.
edit: Tymbra has no valid allies sir.

My selection ...the Arabs (Abbasid) with Romans 199-106 BC
Best regards,
GaryS
This is not a possible combination, friend. You have to pick a composition that is valid in the game.
Go into the custom battle setup screen, and select and appropriate army. Then click on the allies tab to see what allies are available to that faction.
There are multiple Arabs (Abbasid) lists so you need to specify the year. There is also only one Abbasid list that allows for allies at all that being the 874 AD - 946 AD list.
In general please don't edit posts, reply instead so I don't have to reread the entire thread to spot changes. Thanks!

I got an email confirmation from Rob about his army choice and it was Arab Conquest 638 as well so we get two of those. RNG has spit out our pairings!
A reminder of the rules! If you want to veto the map, you must do so immediately after army selection if you are Side B or before your first move as Side A. Once you veto a map, you cannot veto a second time that round! Choose wisely
Medium force size (1200 FP) and medium-sized maps.

Argh: sorry to hear that. Hope it gets sorted out. Where do you live btw?
Here at my end, we went out sailing today in order to spend the night in the boat in the archipelago. However, we sailed upon a subsurface rock and had to return. Boat ok, and will get out tomorrow instead just for the day.

Hi friends, I updated the main post to tidy things up. If you have a moment please just look it over to see if there are any errors since I intend to just do copy/paste when setting up the next tournament.
Also just over a week left. PM me if anyone is having any issues.
