The warriors in that last pic must have started getting dressed and be-medalled for that parade in about 1946 :-)

Mods - apologies, I accidentally clicked on "report" previously so please disregard that! Still haven't had enough coffee this morning.

Its a shame to see that unmoderated in this forum here ! Please more Respect !!!
Gents,

We have to understand that not all humour translates to other cultures, and likewise we have to understand that not all written comments that appear to you as objectionable are intended as such. Even amongst native speakers, the subtleties of language and shared cultural concepts often get misinterpreted, so between those who are speaking in a second language and have grown up in a different culture, its hardly surprising they might miss that too.

Lets give and take, not jump to conclusions, not always think the worst, and remain pleasant.

MarkStein .. as a fellow Brit I can assure you that in the UK, the comment that was made would not be meant as an insult. It's not even a joke. It's just a mild observation that the way Russian Orders and Medals are awarded results in them recieving many more than most non-Communist countries. It doesn't mean they're any more or less brave or heroic. They just get more medals because thats the way their system works. It doesn't mean we respect those individuals any less.

Schlack and BaronVonWalrus, I would suggest you leave it there.

It's not an unmoderated forum but we expect you to behave like rational, mature grown ups so we don't have to waste our time.

Pat

What?! I'm American and now I'm insulted!

Just kidding...about the insulted part. Many of my countrymen are...well, let's leave it there.

BTW, well said Pat.

I have a request for developers: if you want increase immersion level of the game in wwii I think give real historical names to units could be great.
When I played to PC1, OOB and PC2 I spent lot of time naming all my units, but I cant name enemy units, so my dream is to fight against real historical units.
I guess that grand campaign starting with spanish civwar will be at regimental level so please name the regiments... :)

But these medals prove they were not the liberators of Russia&neighbours against Communist Party USSR.
The free liberators, the russian partisans who had survived to Whermacht behind the lines, were then killed by Red army once "freed"... Who had learnt to independantly fight against Hitler may have learnt to fight alone against Stalin.

Looks really nice, a lot of these feature can spice things up.
Commandation Points seem like the most interesting feature - another layer of actual influence as a general and a reason to aim for the bonus objectives other than just a generic "Major vitory".
