This campaing would be a great way to show what the editor can give us but, the second scenario is impossible, since you have no air support and so little core slots you can't supress and the amount of tanks is just overwhelmieng and the Italian troops on the mountains with pure infantry require about 5 turns to take without counting the other 4 turns to move them to the objective and you just run out of turns before you at least reach the second victory point, please if you read this give more core slots or turns i don't know but not being able to play the rest because of that is quite frustrating since the screenshots look very nice.

I took a look at El Guettar with fresher eyes and your right, its a little difficult to do within 15 turns, so i removed 1/3 of the Italians defending the hills, and gave extra Artillery/Anti tank units to help with supressing targets, I don't like the idea of Aircraft on this map since its hard to balance. But regardless I made the changes to El Guettar

Hi, I habe been playing through the campaign with a lot of fun. So first many thanks for providing it in that quite great way.
I have started Mons and did achieve all goals given. After turn 15 the game told me, that I lost. I am wondering now, if this is a bug? I know, there are still some German forces are alive. So could it be that there is an additional goal of getting rid of all enemy forces?
Thanks again. It is a good story and I like the way this campaign is presented.
Best wishes

It was sadly bugged, i've instead removed the objective to destroy the trucks for the time being

I would guess you have to copy the content from the subfolder to the folder campaigns. After unzipping the files I found one folder TheBigRed and inside just another folder and no other files. So I have copied this subfolder (with all scenario files) to folder campaigns. Then it worked and I could choose this campaign from main menu. Good luck!

This is a superb campaign! Worthy of a paid DLC!
The maps are excellent, the missions terrific and the briefings realistic. As a USAF flight crew Flight Examiner, I found myself back in the seat.
One of my friends was in the Big Red 1. He, Pinky, is still alive and is one that will tell of his experiences in Africa and Europe. He said the worst was winter in the Ardennes. No winter gear, freezing and the Germans were setting their artillery to detonate above ground shrapnel-izing the trees. Pinky said of landing on some North African beach, the men moved up into the softer sand and hunkered down yet the commander was yelling to get of the beach. Being green, most of the men hesitated long enough for a German plane to strafe some of them into early graves.

Looks the Hurtgen scenario is also unwinnable.
The other objectives themselves would be a challenge alone but are doable, its the "Secure the High Ground" that's impossible. The placement of the 34th Strongpoint and surrounding terrain make it impossible to destroy as it interdicts the road supply so that by the time you can get to it, your unit will "encircled" too long and out of supply too long and thus unable to attack. You appear to have to kill this unit (and others on the high ground to win so it's pretty much a no-win scenario. You can dash down the main road but then you'd never be able to backtrack and kill those units in 14 turns. Not sure how to fix this outside of making the "Secure the High Ground" and optional victory condition.

I wonder how could I have missed such a thread
Unfortunately, I'm testing the UoC2 Blitzkrieg now, but later I will play in 'The Big Red One' for sure
There was great 1979 movie "The Big Red One", played by Lee Marvin and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill)

Good call out, instead of making it optional; i've instead made it more easy to "enter" the forest, there are several gaps in the escarpment along the main roads, but the gaps are still blocked by the fortifications

The
Allied AI is in the same green color as the player, this leads to confusion:

By changing the color of the
Allied AI to light blue for example, it becomes clearer:

You can pruchase an AT(free core slot=1) but impossible to deploy
There are Deploy hex but no Deployment phase and no Supply Hex

Thats intentional, the Free core slot is for splitting and merging of other units

Maybe you could explain that in a message box at the beginning of the scenario ?

I assumed it was pretty self explanatory, with no deployment phase and no supply hexes, i would of thought that it means theres no reinforcements to be called in... guess everyone thinks differently

It is because I have not yet encountered this case in an official scenario...

Take advantage of the explanations about the editor to ask for help on a similar problem, in my case the text of the presentation does not appear at the beginning
although it is placed in the editor and then appears in the chat of the game
The text is written in the box editor
