Ben is correct the OWS competiton day is 11th Oct.

Just to clarify, there is a Sun 13th Sept OWS day on the calendar - not sure what is happening then.

With today's HMG announcement of the new "max 6 people" for gatherings rules, I assume this presents an issue for OWS in being able to now hold the Oct 11 event (unless these rules are reversed within the next 4 weeks)? David (B)

I was considering coming to this, but in view of the news yesterday I have decided against.

Looks as if it will be next year before I do another competition. :-(

we currently have 5 tickets sold, so i have reduced the max number allowed to 6, so no reason cannot go ahead, unless people do not want it to.

My vote is certainly to go ahead on this basis. Not wanting to let it beat us.

No update from the Hall as yet. I assume we are OK if limiting to 6.

I have a cunning plan (subject to consulting other club members). We could spread the event over 3 of our Sunday meetings. In round 2 first refusal on places goes to people who did not attend round 1. Then round 3 would be a play off between the top 3 from each of the first 2 rounds.

The extra meetings could be in November and December. But of course we need to talk to other club members to get OK for FOGR to dominate 3 of the club Sundays in a row.

If the club was OK, would it be of interest to our regular entrants?

Views please.

OK, if we went for our next two Sundays it would be round 2 on November 15 and round 3 on December 13.

How would that be? Any other views?
