Exactly the same story for this and other Slitherine server games from me and at least three other players. Asked support but they just suggested to check my firewall. At least we now know it's a system-wide issue.

My understanding is that most commercial companies prefer not to discuss whether they've been the victims of any sort of cyber-attack, so we may not see a formal announcement..

Not sure if this is any help as you are obviously aware of issues over the w/e.

However:
23:44 GMT and am having intermitant problems again.
Accessing multiplayer was slow and then screen stuck on 'Connecting to game server.....' dialogue.
Came out of game, rebooted and reloaded multiplayer succesfully but saw no multiplayer games.
Waited a few minutes tried again and this time did see my mutiplayer games.

Earlier today I had difficulty uploading turns.

In making this post I am also seeing a Norton Safe Web 'Not Secure' warning on the forum.

I am having these same problems.

Intermittent failures both downloading and uploading turns. Forums running very slow.

"Can't you guys make a global announcement regarding this issue and then another when it is resolved so people don't have to waste time on retrying turns?" Thanks to pantherboy for the excellent suggestion

Also a permanent caption SERVER STATUS warning of any problems/issues on the opening load screen of the main game. .EXE i.e. similar to the announcement of new add-ons and updates!

The last week has been a pain in the backside attempting to play the game.

Yeah...come on folks...make an announcement! this has been going on for days. it isn't isolated...it is widespread. please provide your customers with an update of;
What is going on.
is there any risk or issues for users
what is the expected timeline
and how we might expect to continue to get updates on progress and integrity of the system.

...a good way to lose good customers is to frustrate them and waste their time. Me and many others are wasting all sorts of time trying to deal with it, and getting frustrated.

We seem to be under a sustained DOS attack. We've been trying to get the server upgraded to help but there is no quick fix and we're hoping it just ends soon...

Update again.

I can't login the server again and the forum becomes extremely slow, again.

Just same as I guess it may be DDOS attack, which happened in my gaming life before to the other gaming companies.

Hang in there guys. We're all rooting for the technical team.

I have my fingers crossed that the problem is fixed, because the forum and logging into the multi-player lobby are back to full speed.

Everything working at my end now. Forum up to speed and games now sending without issue. Cheers.

Sorry it has been such a pain. We are working on extending the finish date for the current tournament. (Apparently it isn't a simple thing to change, but the guru is working on it)
