All in although 1 is still illegal, but being worked on so the runners and riders are
From Bristol
Don McHugh Ottomans w Wallachian Allies 1500
From Burton
Steve Holt Early Imperial Austrian 1520
Dene Green Early Polish 1520
Lynnette Maxim Early Imperial Austrian 1540
From Derby
Nigel Phillips Early Imperial Austrian 1545
David Elks Knights of St John w Spanish Allies 1565
Clive Holland Early Polish 1522
From October
Keith Spedding	Early Polish 1520
Ray Boyles	Transylvanian 1550
From Oxford
Ben Jones Early Polish 1520
Bob Medcraft North African States (Algeria) 1530
Bruce Rollett	Early Russian 1566
So for the draw I did the following. As October and Burton are so close together and play each other regularly outside of competition, they went on one side of the draw with Don to make up the 6. With Derby and Oxford on the other side. The Derby/Oxford players were allocated randomly to their opponents (by dice) with the only caveat that no civil wars in the first round. If you have any major complaints about the methodology of the draw let me know and if its a reasonable one I will consider redoing (complaints about the results are just sour grapes!!).
Lynnette V Clive Early Imperial Austrian 1540 v Early Polish 1522
Keith V Bruce Early Polish 1520 v Early Russian 1566
Dene V David Early Polish 1520 v Knights of St John w Spanish Allies 1565
Steve V Ben Early Imperial Austrian 1520 v Early Polish 1520
Ray V Nigel Transylvanian 1550 v Early Imperial Austrian 1545
Don V Bob Ottomans w Wallachian Allies 1500 v North African States (Algeria) 1530
So no civil wars just one rebellion as Algeria tries to leave the Ottoman empire.
Of course 2-4th rounds will be down to results, but small changes can be made for the 4 bottom players to avoid club mates in the 3rd and 4th round if all parties agree. If your at the top you get who you get.
See you there.

Before anyone asks, that is the only army I have for the period.
As I am an ex-October Club member, grouping works for me.
Please be gentle with me, I have not played the rules properly for several years.
So if I ask a lot of stupid questions, please accept my apology in advance.

				Don,
All you had to do is ask and I could have supplied another army. In fact I have enough for at least 4 armies - Early polish (Ben is using), Early Russian (Bruce is using some of the figures), North African States (mine) and Hungarian.
In regard to the rules I have been playing them regularly but never remember them so I am always asking silly questions as all the other players will tell you.
Make certain that you download the updates especially the new POA's.

Can I just say a massive thanks to one and all for making me feel so welcome this weekend. I am sorry I spoilt it all by going and winning.
Really looking forward to the Oxford one day competition

DOn't forget that Steve Holt got Best Painted Army, based over all the competitions held there that weekend.
Ben
PS He also painted the army I borrowed from Bob (Poles), Lynette's (Habsburg), and half of Bob's (North African State)

Yes, apologise to Steve holt for not including congratulations to him for winning the best painted army prize. It goes a little way to make up for his terrible dice.

I wasn't able to make 2019; any update on the proposed 2020 dates (hoping it is not 18/19 Jan 2020!)?
