unhistorically weak.
In melee, however, if 4 ranks deep, they would be on evens against armoured, superior legio, whereas if Imp Ft, swordsmen they would be double minus against same legio. Perhaps they should all be Off Spear not half.
(Why am I getting serious about this?)
Like, what tribe/people/culture?
I don't know, but I've got some nice looking camel figures with big whicker elephant ears and a biblical looking bloke sat on the camel.
Could have been Semiramis?

Same as stampeding cattle except the cohesion test at contact is taken as if lost combat to elephants.
Stampeding Elephants; Elephant; - ; Poor; Undrilled; - ; Lancer ; - ; 5pts/base; 2 bases/BG; 0-2 bases.
They may never take a CMT and deploy as if skirmishers. Once they have contacted an enemy BG with their front edge they are removed. Any enemy contacted by its front edge immediatley takes a cohesion test as if lost combat to elephants. These BG never count towards army BG total.

The original suicide bombers
Thunder Bomb Oxen; cavalry; unprotected; poor; undrilled; - ; Lancer; - ; 4pts/base; 2 bases/BG; 0-2 bases total
May never take a CMT. Deploy as skirmishers. They are removed from play at the end of all charge movement in the first impact phase in which they charge or are charged. Any BGs that they are within 1 MU of at the end of all charge moves are disrupted. They never count towards army BG total.
I've run out of ideas now, so if anybody has any other wierd troop types they want to post please do so.
They can then right us all off as idiots at the same time and save some effort.

Phil, I have to snicker here. This is a net cast very, very wide. Can you narrow things down a bit for us? Like, what tribe/people/culture? Who were they fighting?
Queen Semiramis against Indians, possibly was really Sammuramat queen-regent of Assyria, 810-806 BC. The reference is from Ktesias.

Did they set them off all in one go , or one at a time? In the latter case I would have thought either undrilled light artillery, or cavalry (camels?) with firearm (depending on how long the fuse is).
