I thought I read somewhere that you only get that if the IC is physically with the BG being influenced on the CMT, is that right? Or can an IC influence a BG within 12 MU and claim the +1 modifier for being an IC? Other than that I think I am on board finally.
An IC can add 2 to a BGs CMT or cohesion test up to his full 12 MU command radius as long as the BG is not in close combat and the IC is not fighting in the front rank.
August in Manchester sound awesome. I can probably easily sell it to my current fiancee, wife by then as we had to cut our vacation short this year. Plus there is so much to see besides.
It would be great to see you there. This year we had 72 FoG players and 130 odd players of other periods and rules, 20 odd traders and lots of fun. I think there will be a big report about Britcon on the BHGS website before too long
http://www.bhgs.co.uk. If you are serious about getting to Britcon pop me a mail or PM nearer the time.

Ok that was how I thought it was, I just wanted to make sure because I can't remember where I read it but I did read someone say that to get the IC +1 mod you had to be with the BG. Glad I got that cleared up. I'll stick with the rules and errata and faq in future
Sounds great about Britcon and thanks for the link. Now I am really envious

. Will send you a note hopefully in the summer.
Thanks again for your patience and help,
Brian
