PS Fogman, what is the situation in this scenario? I realise it's hypothetical, but why is Pyrrhus, one of the better generals of his day, fighting the Carthaginian line while enemy forces bear down on his flank and rear? If he loses, his army will get crushed like a bug.
Pyrrhus spent most of his time in Sicily besieging Carthaginian strongholds, not much opportunity to display his brilliance. The is the attempted relief of a siege by a Carthaginian army (The impassible terrain in the rear represents the town).

Points are awarded for % of enemy losses on a 10 scale. You would include the scores, and a little description (if you want). For example,
Carthaginians (TDefender) 47/50 vs Epirotes (fogman) 55/55
The Carthaginians fought the Epirote phalanx to a standstill. The Spanish mercenaries carried the day on the wing.
TDefender 10.0 pts (55/55 * 10)
Fogman 9.4 pts (47/50 * 10)
whoever wins the battle posts the results here asap.

Carthaginians (fogman) 38/56 vs Epirotes (Enakan) 50/50
fogman 10.0
Enakan 6.8
The Epirotes tried to overwhelm the Carthaginian right while holding the centre. But it was the Epirote right that crumbled first, taking the whole battle line along.

Pyrrhus (Tdefender) 47/50 vs Carthaginians (Enakan) 56/56
A very close battle decided by a desperate hoplite voluntary charge at the very end. A draw would be the rightful output.
TDefender 10.0
Enakan 9.4

Syracuse vs Carthage is based around the fight for a ridge line. Often in such situations I withdraw and shoot up the enemy with missile fire. So, Mamluks to the front! Wait, where did my Mamluk miniatures go? I was using them a little while ago and now they've disappeared! WHO'S STOLEN MY MAMLUKS?!1!?
Challenge up for TDefender

Pyrrhus (Edmund_Blackadder) 15/50 vs Carthaginians (Tdefender) 57/56
Everything went Pyrrhus's way I'm afraid. Lancers beat Cavalry, Pikes beat Spears. Thanks for the game. I suspect the stats will show Pyrrhus ahead overall in this one.
TDefender 3.0
Edmund 10.2

Pikes beat spears on impact. But then melees are equal since spears are armoured. Down to 75%, spears beat pikes (as pike bonus is lost). The key for spears is to not disrupt on impact with skillful use of leaders, or to avoid impact by being aware of pursuit routes.
Lancers beat cavalry but cavalry can evade and they never anarchy. Cavalry can run circles around lancers if handled right.
You also need to put up a challenge for Enakan, thanks.

Totally agree with your comments fogman and I do like cavalry armies, but in this instance there was little space for TDefender to manoeuvre the cavalry and enough of his spears were disrupted on impact to tip the ensuing conflict my way. Similar things happened to me when I played the other side as Londo's forthcoming battle report will show...
Two challenges up for Iandavidsmith and Enakan (one for each side). Password 'Sicily' for both.
