A Glorious Victory!

The Syracuse High Command are pleased to thank the Gods for a hard fought victory over the cunning Samnite forces. Despite the best efforts of a (now dismissed....minus pension) suicidal Cavalry commander on our left wing the Hoplites in the centre held the hills overlooking a stream through the battle against repeated assault and narrowly avoided the outflanking planned by the Samnites by their right wing by breaking the Samnite centre and left in time.

Now the March through Italia continues........
