How do I name the scenario????

1. I made the campaign folder.

2. I open the editor.

3. The editor has 'new scenario' in yellow in a brown box. I can't sem to write anything there toname my scenario. I can get to a blank map and start tiling. But the map has no name.

Where am I messing up?

Select New Scenario. Then as soon as you have put anything on the map, save it as whatever you like using the Load/Save button at the bottom of the screen.

Richard is spot on.

However, I am not 100% sure exactly what your question was. If you meant how to give the scenario a name to appear in the Scenario Selection menu, then look at Part 6 of the Scenario Creation guide:

Just a quickie for the map experts, I have been trying to raise terrain but not able to find it, I can do mountains and tried rock edges but how do I lift terrain to make hills that are playable.

Thank you in advance.

From the FOG2 Manual;

25.2. Hills
The game supports multiple hill levels. Holding the CTRL key allows the
player to change the height of tiles on the map. Left click raises a tile in set
increments, right click lowers............The autoedging places open terrain
slopes round all hills. Difficult slopes can be added using the difficult slope overlay tiles.

Section 25 in the Manual is all about how to use the Editor. It doesn't go into great detail, but is well worth a read.

You can do it by using a scenario.bsf file. I explain how to do it in Scenario Creation Guide part 10 that you can find in this forum.

Is there any way to change height in editor? Or do I have to look in files? I mean particular tiles with sloped edges etc

When in base tile mode, hold down the CTRL key and Left or Right click.
