Oh well, I guess we can give the Slitherine team a break. This will delay the next game slightly, but should give the "Mod Squad" more to work with in the mean time. If they include a "chariot" unit, whch we might be able to reskin into something else, now THAT would actually make my opinion of this curiosity outright positive. It's not my proverbial cup of whatever that stuff they drink over there is, but hopefully it should be relatively fast to crank out this little diversion.

Hmmm, I wonder how many of those "ghosties" were created by my own Legion in the last Arena campaign?

I do remember very well both the Ghost Legions (Elysean Fileds scenario) in Legion and the Skeleton armies in that remote south-western town in CoW

:D

do these ghost legions influence enemy moral, or they are simple legionaries with changed skin?

They are compltely new units with different stats. E.g. they are immune to missile fire & they suffer no morale checks & never run away. They are very very nasty, especially once they have a few skills & some equipment!

Fire demons ignore armour as their burning attack penetrates anything. They also almost always hit.

Ghouls have an icey touch that kills with one hit.

Shadow warriors are extremely hard to hit as weapons tend to pass through them.

Ahem. Skirmish mode this time...?

Cult of Mithras is a content expansion pack rather than a new game engine, so no skirmish mode. We'll keep that in mind for the future though! There are instruction on scenario design though so if people create enough scenarios you'll be able to try all sorts of stuff out.

You mean like a scenario editor?

Thanks. Saw it. In practice, this should pretty much function like a skirmish -mode of sorts, then? I mean, you select both armies from a list and deploy them after having chosen/made a battlefield, right?

by IainMcNeil
Not quite - you use it to deploy the enemy army & design campaigns. Then you play through with your army.

Ah. So you have to make entire campaigns, then... Am I right? :?

You don't have to, no. For example you could replace the tutorial campaign. Or rework one of the campaigns to be 1 battle - for example.
