Keep calm, this was expected to happen since the new mod allows quite for a few different courses the game might take. At least nobody was charged for this mod. ;)

It seems like the "Give the Crown Prince a Command" choice doesn't actually deploy him, it comes up, I select it, but he isn't assigned to any unit on the map.

Am I doing something wrong, like do I need to have a unit in a specific place, it just says he'll end up around Straßburg.

EDIT:Now it just flat out crashed when the choice came up again and I clicked on it. . . Added the second ctgw.log for the crashed game

@LuckyLuke: no, you are doing nothing wrong, that was again an oversight of mine...computer scripts are like magical djinns from faery tales: if you don't tell them exactly what to do they will majorly screw up things for you. ;)

I'll update the script to cover this one to V4.21 right now.

Thank you for providing the crash log as it helped to fix that issue in no time! :)

until ive got next crashing issue it went almost smoothly, just one exception, any time ive tried to do amphib attack, it crashes immediately

serbians are incredible tough, it needed typhus and +4D to be austrians able to fight them

italy joined central powers, i dont remember if i used something to motivate them, but later italy had obvious problem, when entente were surrendering, italy got many collapse points, later they had at least 15

on top of that, when i moved italian unit in venezia, it triggered event "venezia captured"

through diplo points ive boosted ottomans entering, brits were caught off guard, suez sized for free

first down were belgians, france was down 2nd around 20th turn, in next five surrendered russia and serbia
(when i captured rouen and paris, brits were keeping to land northeast from rouen to unsupplied hex for few more turns until i moved down from rouen)

next diplo action senussi uprising helped me to push brits out of cairo, then egyptian revolution happened

from like 25th turn were brits alone, i sunk 2 of their dreads/battleships, few british demonstrations happened, but britain lasted quite lot turns, during these turns usa and portugal joined the war (i was using diplo points to delay usa enter, usa had red counting numbers but jumping down very quickly)

around 32th turn i finally succeed in shuting down britain, one turn later usa surrender, next one after usa portugal, BUT!!! in same turn france joined entente again

i captured last 2 continental france cities, then corsica

some african tribes sized all french cities in africa, france had then just garrisons and no cities but still remaining in the war...

then i declared war to that tribes, later ive got crashing issue, files attached

1. amphib (situation to try crash during amphibious attack)
2. comeback (few turns after french suprise, it crashed but after load it lived again)
3. crashing (unbreakable french lasted until some crashing)

as entente germans in the west look almost unstopable, but when ai splitted its forces i caught them just nearby paris, france has like no poduction allready

france has just few units, some of them blocked in the first turn, most of them is 5/10 garrison, which is almost useless, it survives 1 attack when lucky,

combined with french low production it looks deadly

in 12th turn something bad is happening

Alright, fixed all four problems you mentioned up to now (including Italy falsely conquering Venice and some adjustment to extreme loss of French production when invaded by Germany).

About the latter: French war effort gets damaged the more hexes France loses to Germany. The following events will replenish some French war effort (each 2D6):

- French doctrine changed
- Abandonment of Plan XVII
- Marne Taxis
- Gallieni
- Foreign Legion

fine, but 4 turns later

events are some kind of alchemy, so far im using mostly such with immediate effect

i guess when i used that french which should place unit nearby bordeaux, it didnt appear (maybe because i moved garrison northeast out of bordeaux)

Got the mod smoothly working. Playing as CP vs the AI, I couldn't play as many turns as @nehi played but it was enough to check that the game has been much improved. Specially, the eastern front seems way more challenging and historical. Agree with @nehi that Serbia is hard nut to crack but this, again, seems to be fine from the historical simulation POV.

Only in western front I found the Germans sort of stalling a bit. For that maybe counted that Germany didn't get surprise attack bonus in Belgium. It was only after intense fighting that the Germans were able to take Brussels.

No info in other fronts.

what are counted a "non generic events"
because sometimes it says 0% special events but i can still get events like
french doctorine changed,french army of africa, britain delivers dreadnoughts etc

edit: how many diplo points can you generate eachturn,and will the point cost always rise for events
