I hope the German campaign will have a better carryover than the japanese campaigns.
As in keeping experience, commanders.

Yep, priority should be German Grand Campaign. Blitzkrieg, Volkskrieg, Endkrieg. Then Afrikakorps.
(Those -krieg titles sound horrible to me. But well, its a game made by Belgians. )

And now please dont rush to the end (or let the end be Berlin ´45).

Theres room for a lot of missions and DLC´s before wars end.

Hehe. Endkrieg...
I think Volk. is rather 44-45 with the introduction of the Volksgrenadiers July-Oct 44, but I'm terrible at inventing good names either.

I guess we have different wishes here from people. Some rather want more features like all units+desert+weather asap, while others rather more/longer campaigns to play. I hope adherbal can find a good compromise for the two parties here.

If they are aiming for a truly iconic game like PC (which I hope they do), they should focus on long campaigns, carry-over and of course allow ships as much as possible (as this is the feature that really shines in OOB).

This will allow for a truly stand-apart game and lots of replayability that you just dont get in relativily short stand alone DLC´s. Just look at PC and compare the time ppl have used on the Grand Campaign compared to the Vanilla Campaign. Even the stand alone PC expansions (Afrika, Allied and Soviet Corps) had 22+ missions.

Yeah, but Panzercorps had established game mechanics to which you only had to add minor tweaks (e.g sandstorms, desert supply etc) and you were done. You could focus on mission design and epic campaigns. OoB still adds and modifies a lot of mechanics, has a small team and needs to add animations. The unit models in PC are detailed, but no 3D models. So if they want to keep up that brisk pace with the DLC releases, they have to cut missions. I really hope they get an established platform with fully balanced parts going and stable so they can focus on mission design instead of fixing bugs in the system constantly. Fingers crossed.

Coding new mechanics or fixing them shouldn’t really let the scenario designers stop from doing campaigns, as you can read in the game credits that coding and scenario design is normally done by different people.
I guess it’s rather a matter of talent lacking or a still secret (profitable) master-plan we have no idea about how the future of OOB is going to look like.
If they hired a guy like nikivdd that rather officially works for the PC dudes now, then they could spit out campaigns like Legacy of Versailles of 63 scenarios in less than a quarter.
If the OOB team won’t purchase foreign 3d-models and rather wants to create them all by themselves then I can understand somewhat the slow progress, as creating models takes for sure longer than scenarios if only one guy (bebro, also grabbed from PC forums) is creating them all by himself. That obviously isn't a perfect excuse either to cover for example the Polish invasion not in more than two scenarios.
Whatever, I only hope OOB won’t be stamped down that soon until all WW2 years are covered by models and terrain, as I prefer these game mechanics, gfx, and sfx any day over the 2d-PC ones.
