The Ostogoths (11/26) Defeated Ulysisgrunt's Byzantines (29/22) 42% to 100%.
The Byzantines have too little of too many troop types to stand up to a lot of cav, IMHO.

Kilroy's Goths (6/29) defeated Mike's Foederate Romans (17/17).

Two results to report:
* Edmund_Blackadder's Goths (17/23) 74% defeated allendeuce's Romans (23/20) 100% in a tight game with almost nothing between the sides throughout.
* Edmund_Blackadder's Romans (15/21) 71% defeated MikeMarchant's Goths (24/22) 100% in another tight game where the Roman CinC autocharged and was killed by a fragmented enemy which, as usual, led to his troops fighting better.
Thank you both as always for enjoyable and friendly games.

This was undoubtedly a result of the nature of the lists.

MikeMarchant's Sassanians 5/16 beat Allendeuce's Byzantines 20/20

The Sassanian elephants made all the difference in this one, making a big hole in Byzantine (almost entirely cavalry) centre. That left my other cavalry to occupy/defeat the remaining Byzantine cavalry, while the nellies stomped about in their rear looking for currant buns.

And it worked, with the elephants routing rather quickly, with nearly half my points going in one turn!

My Gothic lancers turned the Roman left flank faster than the Roman HI/MI could turn mine. Thanks for the game.

My cataphracts and cavalry held off the Gothic lancers while my Legions, Auxilia and Foederate HI beat the Gothic HI. Thanks for the game.
