Due to the numbers of players expected, the ETC have blocked booked the venue hotel and reserved rooms in other hotels via the El Corte Ingles travel agency. They have also negociated special prices for us as an incentive to use their services. They are also sponsoring the event so while you're totally free to choose how you book your trip to Salamanca any business we can throw their way is a bonus for the event. They can answer you in English, Spanish or German.

ok spotted dog... I will book you into the bay hotel next bayfog.. its only have a mile from the village hall... but is at the bottom of a 1 in 3 hill.....

Following the feedback I've received, I've plumped for the following:

Friday
Game One: 09:00 - 12:30
Game Two: 13:30 - 17:00

Saturday
Game Three: 09:00 - 12:30
Game Four: 13:30 - 17:00

Sunday
Game Five: 09:00 - 12:30
Game Six: 13:30 - 17:00

Games will be 800 pts on a 6x4 table.

That will do for me ,now just waiting booking details

Thanks David. I think the other thing worth confirming is that we will use v2 of the rules.

I don't know the timescales for V3 as yet, so don't want that uncertainty muddying the waters. This could be unfortunate if Tezza plans to launch v3 prior to August, but as we've not been able to prise timescales out of him there's not a massive amount I can do...

They were my thoughts also,it won't be at the Challenge so the next event would have been Britcon ,the worlds is not a lace to launch a new set

for what its worth... accommo in Salamanca is cheap as cheeps to... less that £30 a night for a single room in the old town (including senyoreetas by the score!)

Thanks Paul - the current Mrs Dalby will be demanding a slightly higher standard of accommodation.

To be clear. It is the FOG AM (I don't think there was an R part) component of the Main ETC and The Worlds Events that are not proceeding. The rest of the scheduled activities are still occurring.

FoGAM is currently played in the UK, France, Belgium and Germany, but no players from France, Germany or Belgium were prepared to go to Spain this year for the Worlds - so I think the answer is to ask your fellow players in France..?

I guess they may say the location is difficult, but it does not appear to be such a big problem to get there for for players of ADLG, or for the 300+ players of FoW, Warmachine, Wargammer and X-Wing who will in the same venue at the same time for the ETC...
