I see no reason why the current Panzer Corps wouldn't be able to handle the theater. Minor adjustments to how carriers work, maybe by adding special rule sets or traits just for that theater, minor adjustments to naval combat and then just focusing on the land combat and allowing ships in the core, done. And I agree. OOB ist just not good. It has intransparent game mechanics, the spotting is weird, the artillery mechanics bad, and frankly.. the game is just buggy and unperformant as hell, and for no reason since the 3D graphics are crap and just not worth the performance hit. Mods have already done the pacific theater in Panzer Corps, no reason why an official content wouldn't be able to. OOB is out long enough now that I doubt this would be cutting into OOB sales.

Something else planed for US Corps?
Ideas I've read in this post so far and a couple I'm including:
1. Soviet GC involving [East Front, Finish and Japanese Battles]
2. Perhaps a smaller Finish Campaign vs Russia, 16-20 scenarios
3. Perhaps could try "themed" smaller campaigns, 8-12, 16-20 scenarios focusing on a particular unit
A. 2nd SS Das Reich
B. Panzer Grenadier Grossdeutschland
C. The Big Red One
4. Pacific Theater
A. Japan "GC or smaller themed campaign"
B. British, NZ, Australia Campaign
C. USA Campaign
5. Korean War
6. Vietnam War
A. Could have a Grand Campaign
B. Could have smaller themed campaigns focusing on particular units or actions
C. Could include Fire Bases, Air Cav, infantry of various kinds, artillery, air support.
D. Ambushes, FOW, counter attacks, defending fire bases, scouting, assaulting enemy positions
E. Some combination of 70% infantry, 10% tanks, 20% artillery
F. Example: Infantry is [25-30% of total] Air Cav that you call into theater after certain conditions are met.
The rest [75% grunts] are HW, Mortars and Rifle units.
1/4th of the 75% grunts total could be special, recon, lay traps, spotting range [2], call in artillery.
So it would be like 3-4 Air Cav with supporting Helicopters, 2-3 HW, 1-3 Mortar, 3-4 rifle, 2-3 special recon type units to
start, with some tanks depending on scenario. Special: is recon, lay ambush, traps, recon spotting 2 and can call in fire
base but they are like BEng units.
G. To complement these forces you have air support and reinforcement auxiliary units which arrive as conditions met.
H. Toward end of GC in a given scenario might have:
Core:
10-12 Air Cav
4-6 HW
2-6 Mortars
6-8 Rifle
4-6 Special [special spotting, artillery support] [special spotting, trap support/claymores]
With tanks depending on scenario as auxiliary perhaps
Limited air support,& get to call them 2-3x a scenario then gone
Fire base support from artillery
Depending on scenario auxiliary forces
Lots of possibilities.

I would add "Italian Corps". This is only partly to ridicule you

I know its never going to happen. But there would really be enough stuff to do a three parted campaign like in US Corps, focussing on a core with weak units. First its 1940-1941 (Greece, Sidi Barrani, East Africa and so on), then 1942-1943 (Partisan warfare in Jugoslawia, 8th army in Russia, Husky, Dodekanes battle) and in the last par 1943-1945 you could choose to fight in Italy along the defending germans or attacking Allies.

Personally, I would LOVE a full campaign that was smaller in scope, meaning smaller maps and involving fewer units throughout. I get a bit worn out from all the giant maps and actually often enjoy the beginning of many campaigns (like GC West 42/43, Sealion, and AC '40) because of the simplicity of the maps that don't involve hundreds of units and stretch all the way to kingdom come. I'm thinking a core army that tops out at around 15 units, give or take.
Specifically, following these general guidelines, I would LOVE a pure Fallschirmjäger campaign!

I still think the Norwegian campaign would be a candidate. ESPECIALLY if you keep the core a bit smaller.

Agree whole heartily with the idea of smaller maps and more personalized objectives for a unique and simpler feel.

I do not understand something and ask here why there will be no additional DLC for the Soviet Union and Japan !? They are worse than those of the Germans and Allies ?
PS. enough to tell at the West tales
