All, In the interests of domestic harmony I'm currently unable to attend the MKWS event (at least on the Saturday though with enough scraping and fawning I might make the Sunday).

So, I have paid my entrance fee, would anyone like to take my spot in the 25mm competition? If so I can loan an army which I'd be happy to leave with Will at Oxford.

There is also an option of a split attendance - i.e. I could do Sunday if that would suit someone.

He was doing the 25mm but I'm happy to swap from the Battle for India theme if that would help.

I have loaner armies for each of the periods if anyone wants to play buy doesn't have the right toys!

I asked Jerry and Tom if they are interested but not heard back from them. Just wanted to know in case I was asked.

It is almost worth throwing the games to get one of these.

Hi all,

Thanks for your patience as for me real life has intervened big time.

Attached are the Runners and Riders for this years Campaign plus the draw for the weekend.

Interestingly we have a great choice of armies with great variety. In P1 ECW there are two Royalist, 2 Parliamentarian and two NMA; In P2 every army is different! and in P3 every option except for a pure Hindu Indian (it's a pants list!) is represented with the two Mughals and two Muslim lists very different!

Here's to a great weekend. I must warn you that real life looks like it will intervene for me again and whilst I will be there to get the event underway, there is a very strong possibility that I may not be able to play. I'll know (and explain) on Saturday morning! In the meantime Will D will step into my shoes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

2 quick questions:
How do the Swiss meet the average foot battle troop requirement?
Are elephants being counted as mounted for the purposes of calculating average mounted? Thinking of Mughal in 1563 which have no average mounted Battle troops.

Thanks

1. The entry for sup/ average says "No more superior/elite bases than average/poor for both Foot and Horse BG's) will apply." - not Battle Troops. The Swiss have loads of light foot! It is the only way to get a legal Swiss list!

2. No - Elephants don't count. The Mughal date is a mistake - should read 1607 (I forgot to change it in the spreadsheet!).

See you Saturday.

Thanks to Don for organising and everyone for making my job easier.
Five great games, pity my brain went into meltdown vs Izzy, but she played superbly and got a great win!
53 isn't bad as a team score for someone playing solo!

53, if I take an average of every other team's scores, puts me in 3rd place! :P

Cheers to Don and Will for running a great competition.

Was good to have three very different and tight periods and nice to see Elephants. You don't get enough of them on the table

thanks to all my opponents for five great games.
