For big battles (80.000 - 100.000 men each side ) We are considering limiting the PIP alowance .
DC would not be able to receive more PIP than their quality . To be clear : a competent DC could get 1 more PIP, a Skilled DC 2 more PIP , exceptional 3 more PIP . It is because of historical leaders can be really good and giving 3 pip to a competent DC seems a lot !

That's a good idea.

From a game perspective, could someone explain why the interest in limiting PIP and control and leader quality?
I've not been able to see why the urge to do this is so great. Why make it harder to move units? It's already difficult enough. Why the urge for getting players to pay even more for leaders? From a game perspective, to me, it makes 'game sense' to let an L3 corps commander have a reroll to add to the chances in the game.

It is for historical games where you receive your general. Imagine an exceptionnal general army leader gi vingt 3 points to an exceptionnal corps leader who gives all 6 points to a competent divisionnal leader.

from a historical perspective that makes sense.
