Being a very euro-centric player cue hastily looking for the army lists I don't possess to find out who the Mapuche and Hausa are
Ah well, I suspect my horizons are about to be painfully expanded.

Not by us!
Incidentally, my Grandfather was a district commissioner in Kano in the 50s and 60s in Northern Nigeria. In his latter years he was a great raconteur, with many tall tales; he claimed as part of his official duties that at a large tribal gathering, he had to sit, on his own, at the end of a parade ground, on a folding camp chair and face a full cavalry charge by Hausa elite cavalry, in colonial whites!
He said he was lucky they stayed white!
He also claimed said they were very proud to have fought for Saladin at Jerusalem, and some of the armour had been there. I suspect a case of 'Trigger's Broom'!
I do have the civil service sword he wore.

South American natives (sort of Chile region) and Sudanese - although in Alasdair's hands, pygmies armed with balloons on sticks and riding shetland ponies would probably be a winning combo. Both in the Cities of Gold book (I've had to lend mine to David!).

I'm not worried about what Alasdair is using but only because we operate at completely different ends of the points table

Really looking forward to this now, nice comfy weekend on the bottom table...
However, it might be hotly fought over territory; I mean, Can we play Nigel four times?

No, but David and I will be happy to alternate!
(Actually, watch out for Nigel and Paul - they can be quite canny with those Spaniards and their perfumed hankies and fried onions......)

Yes, definitely a case of bigging us up despite not doing terribly well in our practice games. The hankies and onions are there as an obvious distraction to the chaos on the table..... Nigel and I have a target of coming 6th as our personal best for the weekend.
By the way, are the parking arrangements using the Conservative Club as mentioned on the BHGS site still valid?

I’m really looking forward to the doubles this weekend but I’ve hit a minor snag. Fredrik (the tall one) is unable to come so I’m not only lacking a team mate but as it turns out I’m also lacking a few bases for my army.
I’m thinking that I might play on my own if that’s ok with everyone (ill cut down on time consuming thinking, strategy and tactics so I can keep up), that is unless there is still someone looking for a team. As far as the bases goes I’m short 8 bases of landsknecht light infantry and 4 bases of landsknecht HW and I thought I’d ask if there is a kind soul that might have a few mercenary’s looking for employment.

Yes the parking arrangements are the same, I spoke to them this morning, just park by the far wall.

Traditional pre competition warm up vs Don last night with the traditional 0-25 result.
Might have to bring a sleep bag to camp out on the bottom table!
