Yes and thank you from me too on the SDKFZ 250 unit. I read somewhere on the internet once that the Soviets captured so many Pz III and Pz IV at Stalingrad, they put them to work and kept them in working order. They did not particularly like the Panthers and Tigers they captured later at Kursk and afterwards since they were prone to breaking down often and easily, requiring much maintenance. Also read in the same section that several hundred of the SU76i units were manufactured so they were used in numbers.
Here is a nice image of the SU76i from the internet I had in my files and never made into a unit. Please feel free to use it if you wish.

I like that image. I was going to make an icon with it but I've completely forgotten how to capture an image without its background. I'll have to fiddle around with it some more.
Just reading a little off wikipedia, it states 1,200 were built on panzer iii or stug iii chassis and issued to combat units in autumn 43. I feel like I read somewhere that they were in use earlier than that but I could just be imagining or mixing up the 76i with another variant.

Here's an art version of the 76i. Let me know if anything looks too out of place. From looking at the image flakfernrohr posted, mine looks to be a little off. Also while making the art version I noticed some errors with the AT icon as well so I'm posting an updated version of that as well. Hope they suit your needs.

For the mod I'm working on I've decided to make the flak 36 3-way switchable. Sources that discuss it used as indirect art seem to be minimal but I have found at least one or two. Anyway, though it would be fun so here is the icon I use for art mode if anyone's thinking about doing something similar. I guess I'd call it "half raised position"

Here's something I made a while back. If you can't tell (and I don't blame you if you can't) it's a Fiat G.50. If anyone out there has a better one, I'd love to see it.

Magura: Ok, I just was finishing an alternative icon for the SU-76i, you can grab part of it if you want to use for your project... I felt prompted to finish it and release because people around here started talking about that vehicle... By the way, I read that the Soviets produced only 200 of that assault gun based on captured StuG and Pz III.
By the way, I like your Fiat G.50 very much!
Cheers!

Guille, thanks. That's wikipedia for ya. Now that you mention it, 200 does sound close to a figure I've heard before. At any rate 200 ought to justify the unit. I'll check yours out. I'm always interested to see what you come up with next.

Yes, I always think any "new" unit not included in the original game icon library is worth adding, after all, no one is forced to use it if he doesn't want to...

200 vehicles sound like a more plausible number, I think...
The web page "Russian Battlefield" also quotes a total production run of 201 vehicles (
http://english.battlefield.ru/tanks/11- ... u-76i.html) After those were manufactured, the improved SU-76M was being mass produced, which was cheaper to manufacture, easier maintain on the field (no need of PzIII spare parts) and a more reliable vehicle.
Sorry I misspelled you nickname, Maguro...

I made this unit specifically for a Vistula-Oder Offensive scenario, with a refugee rescue operation as one of the objectives. The icon could be better but maybe it will inspire someone to make a better one.

Not sure if anyone has made these yet. If so, sorry for the redundancy.

Some Bulgarian AC, Bebro's AC with generic Bulgarian national markings that are probably a little inaccurate.

Nationalist Spain Panzer Ia. I don't know the history of these markings but pre-war nationalist Spanish and some Bulgarian markings seem to be the same.

Maguro, thanks a lot of your effort put in the SU-76i. It is a beautiful icon, much better than my version, but I think I will use the Guille“s one.
But your Bulgarian air units have gave some ideas for my mod, I think I will grab them
Thanks again for all your contributions.

Yeah, I also like guille's SU-76i. The silhouette looks more accurate and I really only made mine to fulfill the needs of the mod I've been working on for what seems like forever. Fortunately or unfortunately now it's unnecessary. As everyone keeps making new stuff, it's great to have increasing choices of what we can add to the game.
I was going to add some more Bulgarian AC but not sure what to make next. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Always forgetting who came up with these ideas first but someone made a German mortar icon a while back and I decided to expand that concept to other nations. I'd really like to give proper credit to the creator whose icon I've modified but I've collected so many units and skins over time, without properly sorting them that there's no way to remember.
