Thanks very much to everyone who contributed to another fine weekend's wargaming, especially Graeme, Dave, Linda and Keith for 4 very enjoyable games.

Unfortunately poor army choice and poor tactics resulted in an abject performance by me and I was unable to win a single game. :( As a result I will be following Mr Ruddock in plummeting down the rankings.

Hopefully things will improve before Campaign and Challenge.

Hope to see you there.

Surely Pete you should just blame the dice! Its much easier that way.....

Anyhow I had a good weekend too and would like to say that I thought the catering arrangements were great.. excellent value/cheap, good quality food with a personal service. It beat the pants off lots of other places with more expensive food offerings! Well done.

Well done to Andy and the others in the top three

At least Mr Ellis and I (11-9 - it counts!) spanked Ruddock so he can keep you company.

Many thanks to the organisers and table-poutter-uppers and the triumphant list checker for all their work.

The "everyone has a bow" versian of early Persians got some good match ups - Keith's Indians couldn't cope with the Immortals and Graeme's 12 BGs of Parthian skirmishers didn't like the massed cavalry (and camelry!) either. Unfortunately we came a cropper in a civil war against Bob Amey who'd stooped so low as to bring hoplites and an inspired general!

It may have been "dance, monkey boy, dance". Or "at least you didn't lose all 30 bases of lancers like when we last played"

He's saying
"Is this the top table for the daftest most god awful gaudy t-shirt competition Graham?"
To which Graham replies
"Yes, you win that one though"

Wow! How bad was I! That will be the last time you see me use some dodgy Chinese army for a while then.

Roll on Campaign where I will try and expunge the memory or risk being trampled underfoot once more. :(

Greetings from the Frozen North (close to, but not quite beyond, the wall...!)

There are a couple of last round scores that i think are wrong.....my loss should have been 18.7 (not 18.8 as printed)...and I believe John Edwards beat Gordon Jamison 15-5, and not the other way round.

Great weekend, and to echo what Paul said, great venue with top value catering....see y'all in Oxford!

Best wishes,
Graeme C.

The ones with the yellow marker next to them had only run away.
