Three suggestions:
1) Entice Philips' light infantry to the back edge, and beat them with your heavies
2) save your light infantry, as much as possible, to hit the rear of Philips' heavies
3) target your missilers on philps' heavies the moment they hit the rough, or even just before.
Also, what battle formations are you setting up in? I use Balanced or Defensive for units that comprise the middle of my line, offensive for cavalry, missilers, and units flanking the enemy.
