You're not the only one - there's obviously a bias against South Yorkshiremen.

Is it just me, or have other people been getting a blank burgundy red screen for the contest page these last few days?

Page not found...blank burgundy screen...no wins...it can't be that expensive to give some more prizes out...come on Slitherine/Osprey...dig deep and reward the loyalty you are getting....it won't be me as I won £10 on the lottery this week so that's my luck gone for a decade

Apparently some sort of hacker attack on the wargames factory site.

The server was attacked from China as part of a widespread SQL attack that's been going on -
see this article here:

From the article, it sounds like a pretty nasty bug.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery of your web site!

Is there any likelihood the site will be restored soon? Surely it's just a matter of loading a backup taken before the hacker struck?
You do run a backup don't you.....?
Or is it a JD plot to make sure the big prize goes unclaimed?
Regards

there is a new message about the attack at wargames factory. apparently they have tried to restart the site several times and each time it has been attacked.

The attack on the site has been routed around the world. We thought it originated out of China but as we narrow it down it looks like the UK

so you did start it so that you didn't have to give the prizes away then
as we narrow it down it looks like the UK

Still down. Any idea if this will be back?

Well, the initial posting said that the contest ran through May 31, so it has now expired. Of course, since they lost two weeks of sending me a daily "Sorry, suckah"

email they may decide to start it up again.
I guess this is my long-winded way of saying that no one knows right now.

Perhaps it is time to admit that ultimately it was the hackers who really won, and just pack it in?
