The army list used by my opponent had a staggering 19 BGs
My 1000pt Bosporans have 25 BGs
Mostly 4-base BGs of LH, Cv, etc., with 6-base MF, LF and so on.
Its a trade off between a big army break and the inevitable problem of small BGs suffering the 25% loss...
Overall i find this larger army of overwhelmingly average, unprotected troops can often bring enough bowfire to bear on superior opponents to stand a chance of winning...and never underestimate the power of Lh charging a flank...last night, frontal MF bowfire took an 8-base Roman Legion to DISR, then the LH charged a flank taking it to FRAG...one more flank hit next turn would've ROUTED it

...but the game ended that turn due to time...

IIRC a flank/rear charge by skirmishers (LF/LH) does not cause a drop in cohesion level to non-skirmishers ...

Ahh yes, but...
No, but...
Hmmm...
Now look, if you're going to point out rules that we a clearly doing wrong, and that are hidden away in plain view on p56 we're just not going to get anywhere...
Right.
We're doing that wrong then.
Back to the drawing board on that tactic.
