I went from ranking #8 to #10,035 overnight. They restored all my turns played but kept the rating reset at 1500. That's 8 months of hard play down the toilet, can't say I'm too happy about it. This just makes a whole mockery of the idea of even having ratings. Some of the top ten players retained their ratings while others plunged back to 1500, and the only difference seems to be that peoole who were actively playing games during the crash got screwed while the ones who weren't kept their rank, so this is actually penalising the most active players of the game. Perhaps an in-house rating system would be better?

Might be - so far Shenandoah has simply used Apple's services, avoiding setting up our own.

So, any progress on this from Apple? Have you received any response?

In Drive on Moscow, I have ten game center wins, no losses or draws , and am about to score two more wins. For my efforts, my rating is 1532. I should be in top 50 by now...

In Desert Fox, on the other hand, reset is fine by me! I keep getting whooped.

First the rating reset ... then a game I was winning gets some unfixable synch bug, which won't transmit my turn, which results in a timed out forced resignation. That's my first and only loss so far in the game. Forgive me for losing interest in the rating system.

Any progress?
