This is not a bug. The game runs at 16 bit. If you dont want your desktop at 16 bit, then dont run in a window ;)

If you do, you must run at 16 bit.

How?

I'm not sure what is running in a window and is running full screen. As I have told, the "Fullscreen 0" has been in the file user.txt. I hope you can tell me how to run this game correctly without changing the desktop.

Take "fullscreen 0" out of the file and it will work. Someone has modifed your game to run in a window, but it should be full screen.

Thanks

I understood finally. After removing the "Fullscreen 0" in the file user.txt, the game can run properly. Thank you!
By the way, is there any new patch for Simplified Chinese version?

I can only use version 1.009, just because I baught simplified Chinese version. I feel so disappointed. Could you please let them know that Chinese children also need upgrade? Otherwise, it is unfair.

The Slitherine people are off for the week so they might not be able to reply soon.

I feel your pain, though I think usualy the publisher shares a huge load of responsibility over these matters. My advice to you is to contact the chinese publisher about it.

Hmm, I wonder if Gates of Troy is released there too? If it is, perhaps you can buy it and install it, that should automaticaly update Spartan to latest version, I think.

Don't know if it's the chinese version or if it is compatible but check this.

Note that with Spartan and Gates of Troy installed, you have access to all Spartans campaigns when you launch Gates of Troy.

Cheers

The version number was translated at 1.009 but the code was later updated to be 1.017 but the text was not retranslated so your version number is actually wrong.

Really?

Unbelievable! But may it be. How do you know that?

Assuming they put in the files we went them, this is how it works. Its impossible to know for sure when the publisher builds the final installer and you never receive a copy of the game from them ;).

Thanks for your help
