Technically, shouldn't the Dutch be counted as enemies during this period, even if all the fighting was at sea?

Technically yes but as you say all the fighting was at sea.

IIRC, the Great Fire of London was initially thought to be part of a Dutch attack.

So far not a lot of response.

But currently most probably
1)Elephants
2)Revolting Peasants

And then not decided between
3)Charles II
3)Lead up to Vienna

Unless I get a lot of votes suddenly for the alternatives
1)The Americas

2)French Religious Civil War
2)Wars in the British Isles

Ok Ok all those evil plans can now be hatched. Here are the Campaign details.

Artillery rules for all periods
1) Must have 6 bases of foot battle troops for each base of Lt/Med/Hvy artillery
2) All heavy artillery starting the battle unlimbered must be deployed first. Limbered heavy artillery may be deployed at any time. The army list must specify whether the artillery is limbered or unlimbered. The player may send in two army lists with different order of marches only, depending on whether they want their heavy artillery to start limbered/unlimbered or a combination of both if they have more than one BG of Heavy artillery.
3) Light and medium artillery can deploy at any time during the order of march.
4) If artillery is captured, the player who has captured them can at the end of the turn in which he has captured them, during the JAP phase, after all auto routing troops have been removed, choose to remove the artillery.

Allies and special options are allowed if specified.

Army lists for periods 1 and 2 need to be sent to me at ben@benedictjones.plus.com, those for period 3 to be sent to Bob Medcraft robertmedcraft2009@hotmail.co.uk to check, as I am planning to fight in that period. A maximum of two lists may be submitted, so if using the commanded out shot options as well as Heavy artillery options, there is still only a maximum of two lists to be submitted.

The Periods
1) By popular acclaim:
Last Trumpet of the Elephants, Southern Asia 1650-1698
Minimum of 4 Elephant bases, no more than 16 bases of Superior Battle Troops

Mughal
Vietnamese (May have Khmer allies)
Thai Burmese and Khmer (May have Portuguese allies)
Indonesian or Malaccan (must be an option that has Elephants),(may have Dutch allies if Johor Sultanate)
Hindu Indian (May have Dutch allies if Sinhalese Kingdom)
Muslim Indian

2) Close one but more peasants than religious fanatics in today’s war gamers:
Peasant Revolts and their Overlords. An army must have as many poor bases as it has sup/elite bases. (mob and LF count towards these totals)

Peasant Wars (Please specify your uprising)
German States 1524-1526 (may have German State allies, and use South or East Germany options)
Maximillian Imperial (no Italy options) 1514-1516
Hungarian 1514
Vasa Swedish 1542-1543 (Any bases may be downgraded too Poor to obey the poor/sup rule)
Early Danish 1534-1536

3) A tie so Umpires choice:
Friends and Enemies of Charles II and his wife 1660-1685.

Later Dutch included as although the war was fought at sea, there could have been a land battle.

Restoration British (Includes Tangiers and In Scotland options)
Later Spanish (Spain only)
Late Restoration Portuguese
North African States
Covenanting Rebels
Monmouth Rebellion
Later Dutch

Entries for the FOG R competition at Campaign 2015 including a cheque made out to MKWS (by 25 April 2015) are to go to Neil Sutherland
7 Horton Gate
Giffard Park
Milton Keynes
Bucks
MK14 5JQ

Neil's email address is Chairman@mkws.org.uk
Please specify what period each player is entering.
The entry fee for the National League (two days) is £20.00 per player.
Please note that entries may be declined if an odd number of teams have entered a League. Every effort will be made to recruit further teams or individuals to redress this imbalance. If we are unable to redress the imbalance then the entry of the team applying for entry last will be declined.
Qualification for an appropriate Division will be determined after a team’s entry has been accepted.

Campaign army lists need to be in by Sunday 26th April which also happens to be the Oxford ECW southern league day. SO you can even hand them in in person.

I've just notified Neil Sutherland that the October Team for FoGR comprises Ray Boyles, Stephen Stead & Keith Spedding.
Am I correct in thinking that submission of the lists before, or on that date, is sufficient to confirm who is playing in which pool?

You are correct.

Not sure if there are any other `independents' thinking of going to this but my club doesn't appear to be able to get a team out for the MK event. So if anyone is looking for an extra player to complete a team I'm available (this may or may not be a good thing).
