game not bad for balance tbh atm, i just cheat alot as i'm not that good a player need a boost so give myself one with the editor or by altering the base files, then again it's my game so i play it how i like, while i don't condone cheating, that's what most mods do anyway and alter the base game to add units that where never in the game from the start, mine has more units than the standard game already, as i make my own or use others and mod there's
and no i don't share it either, sorry, i do it for myself, if i can anyone can is my motto, and it can spoil the game
but hasn't so far with mine

It should be a difficult decision as to what units you buy, and you should never have enough requisition as you want to get all the big units. That is how Panzer Corps is, and it makes for some tough campaign decisions.
I know this is not Panzer Corps, but is basically the same campaign structure. It just sounds like the campaign needs to be balanced so requisition is a precious commodity.
In normal mode you tend to have plenty, but on challenging or higher a single unit lost is devastating because you cannot replace it and the experience is needed. I've only been playing challenging and I find myself having to use the autosaves and minimizing losses as much as I can because requisition is so scarce.

Experience is overrated.
It is nowhere as strong, as it was in panzer korps (increasing almost all stats dramatically) - just accuracy and slight dodge bonus. And thanks to no "elite replacements" you will never have high experience on "normal" units anyway. (Heavy units with many wounds and long range artillery are exceptions).
Unlike panzer korps game is not experience focused (probably good - its not a role playing game). Losing a unit, or getting two units halved is roughly the same - nothing really bad happens when you lose low-medium cost unit.
By the way "killed units" button, supposedly should show lost unit list, but it does not work. Is it only me, or anyone else have this?

While its harder i think experience is still able to be kept in the first act. Second and third its harder with non-superheavies, but most of you units have probably been upgraded to superheavies or marines. There are few missions than tend to net negative experience, such as the final mission of act 1 and the final few missions of the game.
While this is not as experienced focused, and normal/easy difficulty you can largely not care, the higher difficulties its worth keeping as much as possible. iirc the difference between 0 and 10 exp is 50% accuracy and 10% damage received. When fighting enemies that have higher body counts you need to kill them as fast as possible there is a notable difference in unit killing power. The first 3 levels tend to not matter too much compared to norm, but after that the difference is notable. More rng finicky units like the vanquisher and shadowsword hit more often with their low shot main gun. I suppose you could just reload until you get the result you wanted but I do think preserving it should be a priority if you can.
Part of my experience in challenging is that you should just not be losing units, which will let you get higher experience units, which while not necessity are nice and more of a side effect of lacking requisition.

so came and went before anyone even replied, so will stick with first impression still, with axe to grind statement
if you make good or bad points, it's nice to wait or re visit the posts you make so can at least reply to what others may have put, unless you only needed to get something off your chest in the first place and had no real intention of a debate
2 days and still no login to check on his post and comments
so either guest looks (ie not login) or not at all, either way valid points, but only if you wish for a reply in the first place

Whilst i agree that the gameplay mechanics are poorly explained at best, i feel that the discount they provided for early purchase makes up for this. After all, i paid 25% less because i bought it on day 1. I do hope they make one soon though, even if it just explains the more basic concepts. Otherwise there will be more rants above and that being from those who bought it at full price!
