mad yes, each time i upgrade or get new parts i save the older ones and when i have enough i build another test pc, so have 4 for testing various operating systems, 1 server, 1 gaming pc high end, and one for the gf for net and printer use...

laptops and tablets not included

mixed bag of dual core, quad and hex core with all types of memory and vga cards...

I can maybe build build 6 or 7 PC too, just from the old parts of my former computers
So sad these days with old computer parts. Nobody wants to buy them anymore, or even have them gifted. I tried to gift an old computer with an Intel quad core q5500 and GTX 460 to a school, and they said they take it for $50. They meant I pay them $50 to take it of me. :o

i still get older parts from where i used to work, so tend to have more than i ever need really, at any one time i can have more than i'll ever use, test pc are great, can do a few beta's and don't care if pc is taken down or not, and as you said, no one wants them no days, dual core for most stuff is fine so always keep everything as when one thing dies i replace with another, some have been on for years now...
