Act1 may have more scenario count, but Act2 has much meatier scenarios with larger maps, higher unit counts, and more advanced units. I dunno.. I personally enjoyed Act2 quite a bit more than Act1. Could just be personal preference though. :)

Still need to go through act3 again after all the changes and match my experience with user feedback. As for developer replies, well this is my very specific area of work, and user feedback regarding strength and weaknesses of the content is very important to refining and improving the content. If there were huge threads about art and graphics, I'm sure those developers would have plenty to say. :)

Bottom line though, just because advanced players find the default game easy doesn't mean we automatically make the game harder and more punishing. This is what advanced difficulty modes are for.

so there is going to be an advanced difficulty mode then?
This is what advanced difficulty modes are for.
and please stop saying i'm an advanced user or advanced players if you are replying to me, as i consider myself as next to useless in games and that's why i stay away from online, as it's too one sided and i always loose and there for no fun, working against AI is different, as if you play or test against in for long enough, you find it's weakest, and where as a human player learns by it's mistakes, the AI never does so you can exploit them and get a better win....

but that doesn't make me a better player, as in one on one matches a child would beat me...

yes the art and graphics part is mute, as no point really, you deal with what ever engine you have and make the best of it, a shame but i won't dwell on it either....

thanks for the reply...

well with act 2, second play through almost done, i have changed my mind about the game...

main reason are, the graphics are really poor and that won't change at all and is still 100% correct for me in a modern game, but

graphics alone don't make games, good graphics make a bad game look better, but if it plays poorly if will be a good looking game that sucks, and dies a death in the low priced section, or in the old day got given away as a cover disk, shame but true...

act 1, spot on, good build up, nice choice of weapons and units with most battles being winnable for the novices like me with default choice layouts used, alter it and the game becomes easier depending on what you chose etc...

act 2, build on the build up of act 1, and adds larger maps and more choices, better units and upgrades, with a bit more cash, i still found it a bit easy, bu as i cheat a lot and used the V key to get to ever battle anyway so had the maximum number of points to spend, tbh i now think that it's also good and fine by me.

act 3 is slightly easier than act 2 and answer given above is the same, the reasons it's slightly easier is you have access to better weapons and units, have more money, and used same cheat as above helped....

so to sum it all up, great game, with act 1 for me being the hardest, as it has the least number of better weapons and unit choices, more default unit layouts and also in most less to get / earn and spend, next came act 2 so middle of the difficulty spectrum with act 3 being easily the easiest to play and finish and by a long way the most enjoyable of them all...

what i would change before release, well that's a hard one, and tbh not been here long enough to really comment on that, it's stable, it works, it plays very well and gives great enjoyment, priced right i'd buy it, too high and i'd wait for a sale of offer to be on with the game...

if i have been here longer then maybe if pushed and had more time tried a few more things out, as i like to break stuff, makaes me feel sad when i see something released and break an it not to have been found before, but time isn't on our side with that, and agree with what's been said, nothing is ever 100% ready or correct....

have no idea about the balance of units etc, with what is and what isn't etc or missing etc as i don't know what half the stuff here as some seem to have known how it was built, so can't really say if a deligun fires red slugs or friedrice bullets, and also tbh don't really care on that side either, as only here to test, not learn Klingon all over again debate....

so to sum it up, have been won over by the beta and game and really like it, yes it has shortcomings, and i have added a small wishlist that is growing also... but as i can't break it and have tried all i know to do so, will just keep testing it and making comments until released....

beta impressions all done, thread and post closed, eg gone, kaput, finished, move on, moved house, deleted logon
