I looked in to this, and the sorting is as per BA1 on the client side (you can choose how to filter the challenges list, but none of the others). I will see if it is a change serverside to not return an ordered list in PBEM2 verses the original. I'll add a task to sort it in the client anyway, but obviously won't roll out until the next update.
