used this army to take down some spartans at the club yesterday. versus a relatively new player, but... the +1POA versus protected Off.Sp sure was handy, and the knights demolished his flanks.
was actually the first fun game i've had fielding them.
have discovered that you need the german pikes in 8s, supporting 6s at either side of HW/XB, and keep the line really, really tight.
that and firearm cavalry are completely worthless. the 8-point retainers do a better job.

I'm preparing a large number of flags & banners based on Danish CoAs for
www.krigsspil.dk. When they will be available depends on when our webmaster can find the time. But if you are in a hurry I can upload a few samples to an image hosting site.

No, not in a hurry at all, but if that changes I'll certainly let you know
Thanks

The flags are now available at
www.krigsspil.dk. Look under Crusades in the download section.
P.S.
Slight error in the HTML text
It read now as:
http://www.krigsspil.dk/download/medieval/dan01.jpg
But it should be:

I recently won my first battle with the Medieval Danes - took apart a condotta force and even held thier pikes with my heavy weapons guys and an IC. Anyways, at first I though this list was all about the heavy dudes and the armore mtd xbow, but really I liked a half/half mix of the hvy wpn BG's and superior knights. My opponent had 20 knight stands, but I shot them up with the xbows and tore them apart in melee - this is a great medieval list!
Ok, I'm probably still a bit excited about my victory....

I think it's a solid army. I think it might come apart at the seams against some armies given poor terrain (from your perspective), but no matter what I think it's going to be a tough army to beat. I think you're fairly safe against most things and impressive against a lot.
I'm not surprised you beat his pike. I would have been surprised if you hadn't. I think on average you've got the edge on pike, especially pike that aren't a majority factor in an army. Something like 'swiss' or 'macedonian' can be a headache because there are no gaps, but there are also a LOT of points tied up in a very narrow frontage.
