Room for another? After careful checking it looks like the date is OK for me - fingers crossed for none of the surprises that have got in the way the last year or so

Nik,
I am certain we can find a place for you.
I have 21 places filled at the moment. So there are a least 9 more places to go.

Dave,
You can have a place but I think that mixed up the Village Hall at Wolvercote with the Scout Hut at Clevedon.
I do not want you to drive all that way when we are just north of Oxford.

I'd like to book two places - one for me and one for David Hewkin, who partnered me at the Abingdon doubles. I think Vespasian 28 (Paul Marsh) might be interested as well (I'm trying to get hold of him this weekend).

I have put David Hewkin down for a place. Unfortunately I have forgot your full name so can you let me have it using my personal email address -
robertmedcraft2009@hotmail.co.uk. Your both from Wessex Wargamers?

Email sent (it's Brendan Morrissey, btw). Yes, both from Wessex Wargames Society (we're the one in Colbury, just north of Southampton, not the Winchester "Wessex Wargamers").

I have received proposals that the deployment of troops be modified to speed up a game and also to try and ensure a decisive victor.
The proposals are that light troops should deploy 18" in from the players base line and battle troops 13" in from the base line. In addition light and medium artillery should be able to deploy at 18" and also limbered heavy artillery. Unlimbered heavy artillery would still only be able to deploy at 15".
I would welcome those who have booked for the Oxford round to let me have their comments.

I'd been thinking that you can get some rather high unit-count armies out of that set of lists, so something along these lines could be a good idea.

I don't see any problem with this adjustment to deployment.
